5. Operating Instructions
The SevenStars LC001-H offers two primary control modes: DMX 512 and Master-Slave.
5.1 Control Panel Overview
The control panel on the rear of the unit features a digital display and four buttons: Menu, Up, Down, and Enter. These buttons are used to navigate through settings and select operating modes.
5.2 DMX 512 Mode
For professional control, connect the light to a DMX controller (not included) using XLR cables. The unit supports 2 or 4 DMX channels. Refer to your DMX controller's manual for specific programming instructions.
- Connect the DMX output of your controller to the DMX input of the first light.
- Connect the DMX output of the first light to the DMX input of the next light in the chain.
- Set the DMX address for each light using the control panel. Ensure each light has a unique address if you wish to control them independently.
5.3 Master-Slave Mode
In Master-Slave mode, multiple lights can synchronize their operation without a DMX controller. One unit acts as the "Master" and controls all other "Slave" units.
- Connect the DMX output of the desired Master unit to the DMX input of the first Slave unit.
- Continue connecting the DMX output of each Slave unit to the DMX input of the next, forming a chain.
- Set the Master unit to Master mode via its control panel.
- Set all other units in the chain to Slave mode via their control panels.
- The Slave units will now mirror the operations of the Master unit.
