Surface Mount Installation Steps:
- Prepare the Junction Box: Ensure the power supply to the junction box is turned off at the circuit breaker.
- Install Mounting Plate: Screw the provided mounting plate to your 4-inch junction box using the supplied mounting screws.
- Connect Wiring: Connect the supply wires from the junction box to the corresponding wires on the ceiling fixture. Typically, this involves connecting black to black (live), white to white (neutral), and green/bare copper to green (ground). Use appropriate wire connectors.
- Secure Fixture: Carefully push the spring on the back of the fixture into the mounting plate until the fixture is flush with the ceiling. Ensure it is securely held in place.

Optional Recessed Installation:
This fixture can be used with a 4-inch recessed can when installed with the Luxrite can adapter (Model LR23640), which is not included and sold separately. The adapter simplifies the process of converting the surface mount fixture for recessed applications.
