5.1 Holding the Monocular

Hold the monocular firmly with one hand. The hand strap can provide additional security and stability.

5.2 Adjusting the Eyecup

The monocular features a twist-up eyecup. Rotate the eyecup counter-clockwise to extend it if you are not wearing eyeglasses. If you wear eyeglasses, keep the eyecup in its retracted position for optimal viewing comfort and field of view.

5.3 Focusing

  1. Look through the eyepiece towards your desired subject.
  2. Rotate the focus wheel, located on the top of the monocular, until the image appears clear and sharp.
  3. For subjects at different distances, re-adjust the focus wheel as needed.

5.4 Using with Smartphone Adapter

  1. Ensure your smartphone is securely attached to the adapter and aligned with the eyepiece (refer to Section 4.3).
  2. Open your smartphone's camera application.
  3. Adjust the monocular's focus until the image on your phone screen is clear. You may need to use your phone's digital zoom function to fill the screen and eliminate vignetting.
  4. Capture photos or videos using your phone's camera controls. For best results, consider using a tripod to stabilize the monocular and smartphone setup.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Lenses

Use the provided cleaning cloth or a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical lenses. Gently wipe the lens surfaces to remove dust or smudges. For stubborn dirt, a small amount of lens cleaning fluid can be applied to the cloth, not directly to the lens.

6.2 Cleaning the Body

Wipe the monocular body with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish.

6.3 Storage

When not in use, store the monocular in its carrying case with the lens caps in place. Store in a cool, dry environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
