Setup

1. Battery Installation

1. Unscrew the battery compartment cover on the back of the transmitter.
2. Insert two (2) 1.5V AA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
3. Securely replace the battery compartment cover, ensuring a watertight seal.

2. Pairing with a Compatible Radio Station

The pool transmitter is designed to work with TFA radio stations models 30.3060, 30.3039, and 30.3053. Refer to your radio station's manual for specific pairing instructions. Generally, the transmitter will automatically attempt to connect to the nearest compatible station upon battery insertion. Ensure your radio station is powered on and within range.

3. Placement

Place the pool transmitter directly into the water of your pool, pond, or hot tub. The device is designed to float and measure water temperature at a depth of approximately 100 mm. For optimal wireless transmission, ensure there are no major obstructions between the transmitter and the receiving radio station.

Operating

Once batteries are installed and the device is placed in water, the current water temperature will be displayed on the transmitter's screen. The transmitter will automatically send temperature data wirelessly to your paired TFA radio station every 4 seconds. The maximum transmission range is up to 100 meters in an open field.

Maintenance

Cleaning

To clean the transmitter, wipe it with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the device. Ensure the device is dry before storing or re-inserting into water.

Battery Replacement

When the display becomes dim or the transmission signal weakens, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps outlined in the Setup section.

Storage

If the device will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and store the transmitter in a cool, dry place.

Troubleshooting

• No temperature display on transmitter: Check battery polarity and ensure batteries are fresh.
• No signal on radio station: Ensure the radio station is powered on and within the 100m range. Reduce obstructions between the transmitter and the station. Replace transmitter batteries if they are low. Verify that your radio station is one of the compatible models (30.3060, 30.3039, 30.3053).
• Inaccurate temperature reading: Ensure the transmitter is fully immersed to the 100mm measurement depth.
