1. Introduction
The Cressi Calibro SF HD Lens Dive Mask is designed for diving, freediving, and spearfishing. It features a hydrodynamic and compact shape, achieved through its dual integrated frame technology. This design allows the silicone skirt to join the lens frame seamlessly, resulting in a mask that sits close to the face while offering a wide field of view.
Key features include inclined and inverted tear-drop lenses for improved downward visibility, a low volume design, and easy-to-adjust buckles. The mask is constructed with a double feathered edge silicone skirt and tempered glass lenses for durability and comfort.

2. Setup and Preparation
2.1 Initial Cleaning
Before first use, it is recommended to clean the mask lenses to remove any manufacturing residues that can cause fogging. Apply a small amount of non-abrasive toothpaste or a commercial mask defogger to the inside and outside of the lenses. Gently rub with your finger for several minutes, then rinse thoroughly with fresh water. Repeat if necessary.
2.2 Strap Adjustment
The mask features easy-to-use, swivelable buckles for quick strap length adjustment. To adjust the strap:
- Place the mask gently on your face without the strap over your head.
- Pull the strap over the back of your head.
- Adjust the strap length by pulling the ends through the buckles until the mask feels snug but not uncomfortably tight. The skirt should seal against your face without excessive pressure.

3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Donning the Mask
- Ensure your hair is clear from the mask skirt to prevent leaks.
- Place the mask gently over your eyes and nose.
- Pull the strap over the back of your head, ensuring it rests comfortably and flat, not twisted.
- Inhale slightly through your nose to create a light suction, which helps the mask seal to your face.
3.2 Equalizing Ear Pressure
The mask features an easy-to-reach nose pocket designed for ear equalization. As you descend, pinch your nose through the mask's nose pocket and gently blow through your nose to equalize pressure in your ears. Equalize frequently and before any discomfort is felt.
3.3 Clearing a Flooded Mask
If water enters the mask:
- Press the top of the mask frame firmly against your forehead.
- Exhale slowly and steadily through your nose. The exhaled air will push the water out from the bottom of the mask.
- Continue exhaling until all water is expelled.

4. Maintenance and Storage
4.1 Cleaning After Use
After each use, rinse your mask thoroughly with fresh, clean water. This removes salt, chlorine, and other debris that can degrade the silicone and lenses over time. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
4.2 Preventing Fogging
The Cressi Calibro mask incorporates Fog-Stop Technology. To further prevent fogging during use, apply a commercial defogging solution or a small amount of saliva to the inside of the lenses, rub gently, and rinse briefly before entering the water.

4.3 Storage
Store your mask in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use the protective mask box provided to prevent scratches and damage to the lenses and skirt. Avoid storing the mask with other gear that could deform the silicone skirt.
5. Troubleshooting
5.1 Mask Leaks
- Hair under skirt: Ensure all hair is clear from the mask's sealing surface.
- Strap too tight: An overly tight strap can distort the silicone skirt, causing leaks. Loosen the strap slightly.
- Improper fit: The mask may not be correctly seated on your face. Re-adjust and ensure a light suction is created when inhaling.
- Facial hair: Beards or stubble can compromise the seal. Consider applying a thin layer of silicone grease or petroleum jelly to the facial hair area where the skirt seals.
5.2 Persistent Fogging
- Insufficient initial cleaning: Repeat the initial cleaning process with non-abrasive toothpaste or a dedicated mask cleaner to remove all manufacturing residue.
- Lack of defogger: Always use a defogging solution or saliva on the lenses before each dive.
- Improper rinse: Ensure defogger is rinsed off briefly, not completely, to leave a thin film.
