Setup Guide

1. Package Contents

Before you begin, ensure all components are present:

2. Physical Connection

  1. Connect to Network: Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the WAN port of the HT818 and the other end into your internet router or modem.
  2. Connect Analog Devices: Connect your analog telephones or fax machines to the FXS ports (labeled 1-8) on the HT818 using standard RJ11 phone cables.
  3. Power On: Connect the power adapter to the HT818's power port and then plug it into a power outlet. The power LED on the front panel should illuminate.
  4. Check Status LEDs: Observe the LEDs on the front panel. The power LED should be solid, and the WAN/LAN LEDs should indicate network activity. FXS port LEDs will light up when a phone is connected and active.

3. Initial Configuration Access

To access the web configuration interface:

  1. Ensure your computer is connected to the same local network as the HT818 (either directly to a LAN port on the HT818 if using it as a router, or to your main router if the HT818 is connected to it).
  2. Open a web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox).
  3. Locate the IP address of the HT818. This can often be found via your main router's DHCP client list, or by using a network scanning tool. Alternatively, you can dial *** on a connected analog phone and then dial 02 to hear the IP address.
  4. Enter the HT818's IP address into the browser's address bar and press Enter.
  5. Log in using the default username "admin" and the password found on the sticker at the bottom of the device.

Note: It is highly recommended to change the default password after initial login for security purposes.
