2. Product Overview

2.1 Components and Controls

• Function Switch: Located on the top, this switch allows you to select between MP3 playback, Radio mode, or power off the device.
• MP3 Play Keys: Buttons for controlling MP3 playback, including track navigation and pause/play.

3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the radio.
2. Slide the battery compartment cover open.
3. Insert the provided BL-5C rechargeable battery, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3.2 Charging the Battery

The radio can be powered by the installed battery or directly via the USB charging cable.

1. Connect the small end of the USB charging cable to the DC 5V jack on the radio.
2. Connect the larger end of the USB cable to a standard USB power adapter (e.g., phone charger, computer USB port) or a power bank.
3. The charging LED indicator will illuminate during charging. Once fully charged, the indicator may change color or turn off (refer to specific model behavior).
4. For optimal battery life, use a 5V, 0.5A or lower amperage charger. Avoid fast chargers.

Note: The radio can operate directly from USB power even without a battery installed, making it suitable for continuous use during power outages when connected to a power source.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On/Off

Slide the Function Switch to "RADIO" or "MP3" to power on the device. Slide it to "OFF" to power off.

4.2 Radio Operation (FM/AM/SW)

1. Slide the Function Switch to "RADIO".
2. Extend the telescopic antenna for better reception, especially for FM and Shortwave bands.
3. Use the Band Switch to select your desired frequency band: FM, AM (MW), or SW.
4. Rotate the Tuning Knob to scan for radio stations. The frequency display will show the current tuned frequency.
5. Adjust the Volume Control to your preferred listening level.

4.3 MP3 Player Operation

1. Insert a Micro SD (TF) card with MP3 audio files into the TF Card Slot.
2. Slide the Function Switch to "MP3". The radio will automatically begin playing the first MP3 file.
3. Use the MP3 Play Keys to control playback:
   • Press the Play/Pause button to pause or resume playback.
   • Press the Next/Previous track buttons to skip between songs.
   • Some models may support fast-forwarding or rewinding by holding the track buttons.
4. Adjust the Volume Control to your preferred listening level.

5. Maintenance

• Keep the radio dry. Avoid exposure to water or high humidity.
