4. Setup

Initial Charging

Before first use, please charge your iBall WBS-650MV Barcode Scanner for a minimum of 3 to 4 hours using the provided Mini USB Charging Cable. Connect the cable to the scanner and a USB power source (e.g., computer USB port or USB wall adapter).

Connecting and Pairing

The iBall WBS-650MV is designed for plug-and-play operation. When you connect the USB Dongle for the first time with your PC/Laptop, the scanner should automatically connect and pair.

Manual Pairing Process (If not automatically connected)

If the WBS-650MV is not working after connecting the USB Dongle, even if it is charged, follow these steps:

  1. Connect the USB Dongle to a USB port on your PC/Laptop.
  2. First, scan the "Restore Default" barcode. This barcode is typically found in the Quick Start Guide or on the pairing instruction sheet. (Example barcode value: 0705632441947)
  3. Next, scan the "Force Pairing" barcode. This barcode is also found in the Quick Start Guide or on the pairing instruction sheet. (Example barcode value: 000B0)

After scanning these two barcodes in sequence, the scanner should now start working.

5. Operating Instructions

Basic Scanning

To scan a barcode, point the scanner's laser beam at the barcode and press the trigger button. The scanner will emit a beep and/or vibrate to indicate a successful scan. The decoded data will be transmitted wirelessly to your connected PC/Laptop.

Data Storage

The iBall WBS-650MV features a built-in memory capable of storing up to 65,000 barcodes. This allows for batch scanning when out of wireless range, with data being uploaded once the scanner is reconnected.

Wireless Range

The scanner operates wirelessly up to 100 meters in open space, providing flexibility for various work environments.

6. Maintenance

Cleaning

To clean the scanner, use a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used. Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or solvents, as these can damage the device.

Battery Care

The scanner is equipped with a high-capacity rechargeable battery. To prolong battery life:
