1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing the QUECHUA Arpenaz 3 Camping Tent. This dome-shaped, freestanding tent is designed for comfortable camping for up to three people. It offers ease of assembly, protection from condensation, and resistance to various weather conditions. Please read this manual carefully before setting up and using your tent to ensure proper use and longevity.
2. Safety Information
- Fire Safety: Keep all flame and heat sources away from the tent fabric. The tent is made of flame-resistant material but is not fireproof.
- Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation to prevent suffocation and condensation buildup. Do not block ventilation openings.
- Weather Conditions: While designed for 3 seasons and wind resistance up to 40 km/h (Force 5), avoid using the tent in extreme weather conditions such as severe storms, heavy snow, or strong winds exceeding its rating.
- Site Selection: Choose a flat, clear area free of sharp objects, rocks, or debris. Avoid setting up under trees with dead branches or near potential flood zones.
- Children: Keep children away from the tent during setup and takedown. Do not allow children to play with tent poles or stakes unsupervised.
3. Package Contents
Before assembly, verify that all components are present:
- Tent body (inner tent and flysheet)
- Tent poles (Aluminium)
- 4 Tent stakes
- 4 Guy ropes
- Carry bag

4. Setup Instructions
The Arpenaz 3 tent is designed for easy, freestanding assembly.
- Unpack: Lay out the tent body (inner tent and flysheet) and poles on a clean, flat surface.
- Assemble Poles: Connect the pole sections. The tent uses a clip mechanism for pole attachment.
- Insert Poles: Thread the assembled poles through the fabric sleeves or loops on the tent body.
- Secure Poles: Insert the ends of the poles into the grommets or pins at the corners of the tent. The tent will begin to take its dome shape.
- Attach Flysheet: Drape the flysheet over the inner tent. Ensure the doors and ventilation openings align. Secure the flysheet to the inner tent or poles using the attached buckles, hooks, or ties.
- Stake Down: Once the tent is standing, stake down the four corners of the tent body. Then, extend and stake out the four guy ropes for added stability, especially in windy conditions.

5. Operating the Tent
- Entry/Exit: The tent features one door with a zipper closure. Always zip up the door completely when not entering or exiting to prevent insects and maintain interior temperature.
- Ventilation: The tent includes ventilation openings on the flysheet and at the rear to reduce heat and condensation. Keep these open when possible, especially in warm or humid conditions.
- Storage Pockets: Utilize the internal pockets for storing small items like phones, headlamps, or a newspaper, keeping the tent floor clear.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Clean the tent with a sponge and soapy water. Do not use harsh detergents or a washing machine, as this can damage the waterproofing. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry completely before packing.
- Drying: Always ensure the tent is completely dry before packing it away to prevent mildew and odors.
- Storage: Store the tent in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Pole Care: Inspect poles for damage before and after each use. If a pole section breaks, replacement sections are often available.
7. Troubleshooting
- Condensation: Condensation is natural in tents. To minimize it, ensure proper ventilation by keeping vents open and, if possible, slightly opening the door. Avoid cooking inside the tent.
- Water Leakage: If water leaks, check for tears in the fabric or seams. Ensure the flysheet is properly tensioned and not touching the inner tent. Re-apply seam sealer if necessary.
- Tent Instability: Ensure all stakes are firmly in the ground and guy ropes are properly tensioned. In very windy conditions, consider adding extra stakes or using rocks to secure the tent.
