3. Setup and Installation

The Comelit 8451V kit is designed for a "Wireless DIY" installation method, meaning it's pre-addressed and largely plug-and-play. However, professional electrical connection is required.

3.3. Expanding the System

The system can be expanded for multi-family homes (bifamilial or four-family) by utilizing the DIP switch code to share or divide the call button. Additional indoor audio or video stations can be added to accommodate more users.

4.1. Receiving a Call

• When a visitor presses the call button on the Quadra outdoor unit, the Mini Wi-Fi monitor will ring, and a live video feed will appear on its screen.
• If connected, your smartphone will also receive a notification and display the video feed via the Comelit app.
• To answer the call, press the designated answer button on the monitor or within the app.

4.2. Two-Way Communication

• Once the call is answered, you can speak to the visitor through the monitor's or app's microphone and speaker.
• The system supports audio-only alerts.

4.3. Door Release

• If connected to an electric lock, press the door release button on the monitor or within the app to grant access to the visitor.

4.4. Monitoring

• You can initiate a live view from the Quadra outdoor unit at any time through the Mini Wi-Fi monitor or the Comelit app, even without a visitor pressing the call button.

• Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the surfaces of the outdoor unit and indoor monitor. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
