1. Introduction

The TROTEC TFC 2 E Mini Plug-in Heater is a compact and efficient heating solution designed for small rooms. 2. Safety Instructions

Read all safety warnings and instructions before using this product. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

  • Always plug the heater directly into a wall outlet. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap.
  • Do not cover the heater. Covering the heater can cause overheating and fire. Ensure there is adequate clearance around the unit.
  • Do not use the heater in bathrooms, laundry areas, or similar indoor locations where water is present.
  • Keep flammable materials such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 1 meter (3 feet) from the front of the heater.
  • Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
  • Unplug the heater when not in use.
  • Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug, or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

5. Setup

  1. Unpack the Heater: Carefully remove the heater from its packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
  2. Choose a Location: Select a suitable wall outlet in the room you wish to heat. Ensure the area is clear of obstructions and flammable materials (at least 1 meter / 3 feet clearance).
  3. Plug In: Insert the heater directly into a standard 230V wall socket. Ensure it is firmly seated.

6. Operating Instructions

The TFC 2 E heater features an intuitive control panel with an LCD display.

6.1. Power On/Off

  • Locate the power switch on the side of the unit (refer to Figure 3).
  • Flip the switch to the 'I' position to turn the heater ON. The LCD display will illuminate.
  • Flip the switch to the 'O' position to turn the heater OFF.

6.2. Setting Temperature

  • Once powered on, the display will show the current temperature or default setting.
  • Use the '+' and '-' buttons on the control panel to adjust the desired temperature. The temperature can be set between 15 °C and 30 °C.
  • The heater will automatically operate to maintain the set temperature.

6.3. Fan Speed Adjustment

  • Press the fan speed button (often indicated by a fan icon) to cycle between the two available fan speeds.
  • Speed 1 provides a gentle, continuous heat distribution.
  • Speed 2 provides faster heat distribution for quicker room warming.

6.4. Timer Function

  • Press the timer button (often indicated by a clock icon) to activate the timer function.
  • Use the '+' and '-' buttons to set the desired operating duration, from 1 to 12 hours.
  • The heater will automatically turn off once the set time has elapsed.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your heater.

  • Cleaning: Before cleaning, always unplug the heater and allow it to cool completely. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the heater in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging.
  • No User-Serviceable Parts: The heater contains no user-serviceable parts. Do not attempt to open or repair the unit yourself. Contact qualified service personnel for any repairs.

8. Troubleshooting
