1. Introduction

This manual provides important information for the safe and efficient operation of your TROTEC TFC 1 E plug-in ceramic heater. Please read these instructions carefully before first use and keep them for future reference. The TFC 1 E is a compact 500W ceramic heater designed for supplemental heating in small indoor spaces, featuring an adjustable thermostat, a 12-hour timer, and a fan mode.

3. Product Components

Familiarize yourself with the parts of your TROTEC TFC 1 E heater:

  1. Digital Display: Shows temperature settings, timer, and fan mode.

4. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your heater:

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the heater from its packaging. Retain packaging for storage or future transport.
  2. Placement: Choose a suitable wall socket in the desired room. Ensure the heater is positioned upright and has at least 1 meter (3 feet) clearance from any walls, furniture, or flammable materials. Do not place it under a wall socket.
  3. Plug In: Insert the heater directly into a standard 230V AC wall socket. Do not use extension cords or adapters.
  4. Main Power On: Locate the main power switch on the side of the unit and switch it to the "ON" (I) position. The digital display will show "--" indicating standby mode.

5. Operating Instructions

Once the heater is plugged in and the main power switch is ON, you can operate it using the control panel.

After the heater turns off (either manually or by thermostat/timer), the fan may continue to run for a short period (approximately 60 seconds). This is a normal post-function cooling process to protect the heating element and extend the product's lifespan.

If your heater is not operating correctly, refer to the following troubleshooting guide:

  • Check the circuit breaker or try another outlet.
  • Ensure the main power switch on the side is ON (I).

  • Thermostat set too low.
  • Overheat protection activated.
  • Fan mode only selected.
  • Increase the set temperature above the current room temperature.
  • Unplug the heater, let it cool for 30 minutes, then plug it back in. Ensure no obstructions.
  • Check the display for fan mode indicator; adjust settings.
Heater turns off unexpectedly.
  • Timer has expired.
  • Room temperature reached set thermostat level.
  • Overheat protection activated.
  • Check timer setting.
  • This is normal operation. The heater will resume when temperature drops.
  • Unplug the heater, let it cool for 30 minutes, then plug it back in. Ensure no obstructions and adequate ventilation.
