4. Setup

4.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any damage. Retain packaging for potential future transport or storage.

4.2 Charging the Battery

Before first use, fully charge the speaker's built-in rechargeable battery. Connect the power adapter to the speaker's charging port and then to a power outlet. The charging indicator will illuminate. Charging typically takes 3.5 to 4 hours.

4.3 Initial Power On

Locate the power switch on the control panel. Flip the switch to the 'ON' position. The display will light up, indicating the speaker is ready for use.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

  • To turn on: Flip the power switch to 'ON'.
  • To turn off: Flip the power switch to 'OFF'.

5.2 Bluetooth Connection

  1. Turn on the speaker. The speaker will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode, or you can press the 'FUNCTION' button to select Bluetooth mode. The display will show 'BT'.
  2. On your mobile device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select 'SHARP PS-920' from the list.
  4. Once paired, the speaker will emit a confirmation sound, and the display will indicate a successful connection.

5.3 FM Radio

  1. Press the 'FUNCTION' button to select FM radio mode. The display will show 'FM'.
  2. Press and hold the 'PLAY/PAUSE' button (often labeled with a play/pause icon) to initiate an automatic scan for FM stations. The speaker will save detected stations.
  3. Use the 'PREVIOUS' and 'NEXT' buttons (often labeled with skip icons) to navigate between saved stations.

5.4 USB Playback

  1. Insert a USB flash drive containing MP3 audio files into one of the USB ports.
  2. The speaker should automatically switch to USB mode and begin playback. If not, press the 'FUNCTION' button to select USB mode.
  3. Use the 'PLAY/PAUSE', 'PREVIOUS', and 'NEXT' buttons to control playback.

5.5 Microphone Usage

  1. Connect the included microphone to either the 'MIC1' or 'MIC2' input jack.
  2. Ensure the microphone's ON/OFF switch is in the 'ON' position.
  3. Adjust the microphone volume using the 'MIC VOL' knob.
  4. Press the 'ECHO' button to activate or adjust the echo effect for the microphone.

5.6 Auxiliary Input

  1. Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, laptop) to the 'AUX IN' port using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included).
  2. Press the 'FUNCTION' button to select AUX mode.
  3. Control playback and volume from the connected device.

5.7 Disco Lights

Press the 'LIGHT' button to cycle through different light modes or to turn the disco lights off. Press and hold the 'LIGHT' button to activate a mode where lights flash to the rhythm of the music.

5.8 Sound Adjustment

  • Volume: Use the 'VOLUME' knob to adjust the overall sound output.
  • Super Bass: Activate the 'SUPER BASS' feature for enhanced low-frequency sound.
  • Equalizer (EQ): Press the 'EQ' button to cycle through preset equalizer modes for different music genres.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

Wipe the speaker's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents. Ensure no liquids enter the speaker's openings.

6.2 Battery Care

  • To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • If storing the speaker for an extended period, charge the battery to approximately 50% every few months.

6.3 Storage

Store the speaker in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If possible, use the original packaging for protection.
