6. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for basic operation of your RL-SV1S laser.

6.1 Powering On and Self-Leveling

  1. Press the power button on the laser unit or the RC-50 remote control.
  2. The laser will begin its automatic self-leveling process. Wait for the laser to stabilize and emit a continuous rotating beam.

6.2 Single Slope Operation

  1. After self-leveling, use the slope adjustment buttons on the laser unit or RC-50 remote to set the desired slope percentage for the X-axis.
  2. The display will show the current slope value.
  3. Ensure the sensor (LS-100D or LS-80L) is correctly positioned to detect the laser beam at the desired grade.

6.3 Using the Remote Control (RC-50)

The RC-50 remote control allows for convenient adjustment of settings from a distance, including power on/off, slope adjustments, and rotation speed.

  • Point the remote control towards the laser unit.
  • Press the corresponding buttons for the desired function (e.g., ‘X’ or ‘Y’ for slope, ‘RPM’ for rotation speed).

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and accuracy of your RL-SV1S.

7.1 Cleaning

  • Wipe the exterior of the laser unit with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Keep the laser aperture clean and free from dust or debris.

7.2 Storage

  • Store the laser in its carry case when not in use to protect it from impacts and environmental elements.
  • Remove batteries if the unit will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.

7.3 Battery Care

  • If using rechargeable batteries, follow the manufacturer’s instructions for charging.
  • Replace alkaline batteries promptly when the low battery indicator appears.
