1. Introduction

This manual provides essential instructions for the safe assembly, operation, and maintenance of your Ingenuity DreamComfort Smart and Simple Playard with Changing Table. Please read all instructions carefully before assembly and use. Keep this manual for future reference.

2. Important Safety Information

WARNING: Failure to follow these warnings and the instructions could result in serious injury or death.

  • Always ensure all locking mechanisms are engaged before placing a child in the playard.
  • Never leave a child unattended.
  • Discontinue use of the napper when the infant begins to push up on hands and knees or has reached 9 kg (20 lbs), whichever comes first.
  • Discontinue use of the changing table when the infant begins to push up on hands and knees or has reached 11.3 kg (25 lbs), whichever comes first.
  • The playard is intended for children unable to climb out, less than 89 cm (35 inches) tall, and weighing less than 13.6 kg (30 lbs).
  • Never use this product if there are any loose or missing fasteners, loose joints, or broken parts.
  • Keep all small parts and packaging materials away from children.
  • Do not modify the product or use accessories not approved by the manufacturer.

3. Package Contents

4. Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to set up your playard:

  1. Unpack the Playard: Remove the playard from its travel bag. Unfasten the mattress/base pad from around the playard frame.
  2. Open the Frame: Stand the playard upright. Pull the two short side rails upwards until they lock into place. Then, pull the two long side rails upwards until they lock into place. Ensure all four rails are securely locked. If a rail does not lock, pull it up firmly until it clicks.
  3. Lower the Center: Push down on the center of the playard floor until it lies flat.
  4. Insert Mattress/Base Pad: Place the mattress/base pad inside the playard, ensuring it lies flat and covers the entire bottom surface.
  5. Attach Storage Pockets: Secure the storage pockets to the side of the playard frame using the attached fasteners.

4.1. DreamCentre Napper Assembly

  1. Assemble the napper frame according to the diagrams provided in the separate napper instructions (if applicable).
  2. Attach the assembled napper securely to the top rails of the playard, ensuring all clips are engaged.
  3. Ensure the napper is stable and level before placing a child inside.

4.2. Changing Table Assembly

  1. Assemble the changing table frame as per the separate changing table instructions (if applicable).
  2. Attach the assembled changing table securely to the top rails of the playard. Ensure it is firmly attached and stable.
  3. When not in use, the changing table can be flipped to the side or removed.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Using the DreamCentre Napper

The DreamCentre Napper provides a comfortable and secure space for your infant to rest. Its DreamComfort fabrics are designed for increased airflow.

  • Always place your infant on their back to sleep.
  • Ensure the napper is securely attached to the playard rails.
  • Do not add extra padding or bedding to the napper.

5.2. Using the Changing Table

The elevated changing table offers a convenient surface for diaper changes.

  • Always secure the child with the safety straps provided.
  • Never leave a child unattended on the changing table.
  • Ensure the changing table is locked into position before use.
  • When not in use, the changing table can be flipped out of the way or removed.

5.3. Using the Playard

The main playard area provides a secure space for play or rest.

  • Ensure the mattress/base pad is always in place when the playard is in use.
  • The transparent mesh panels allow for visibility of your child.
  • Do not place toys with strings or cords in the playard that could pose a strangulation hazard.

5.4. Using Side Storage Pockets

The integrated side storage pockets are designed to keep essential items within easy reach.

  • Store diapers, wipes, and small toys in the pockets.
  • Do not overload pockets to prevent tipping or instability.

6. Maintenance and Care

6.1. Cleaning Instructions

  • Fabrics: The DreamComfort fabrics and other removable fabric components are machine washable. Use cold water, gentle cycle, and mild detergent. Do not bleach. Tumble dry low.
  • Frame: Wipe the metal and plastic parts with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap. Air dry.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

6.2. Storage and Transport

The playard is designed for easy folding and portability.

  1. Remove Accessories: Detach the napper and changing table.
  2. Remove Mattress/Base Pad: Take out the mattress/base pad from the playard.
  3. Pull Up Center Strap: Locate the strap in the center of the playard floor and pull it upwards.
  4. Release Side Rails: Squeeze the buttons on the center of each side rail to release the locks, then push the rails downwards.
  5. Fold Frame: Bring the four corners of the playard together to fold the frame compactly.
  6. Secure for Storage: Wrap the mattress/base pad around the folded playard and secure it with the attached fasteners. Place the folded playard and accessories into the travel bag.

7. Troubleshooting

Side rails do not lock.Center of the playard floor is not fully raised.Ensure the center of the playard floor is pulled up as high as possible before attempting to lock the side rails. Pull rails firmly until they click.
Playard will not fold.Side rails are still locked.Ensure all four side rails are unlocked by squeezing the buttons in the center of each rail and pushing downwards. Then, pull the center strap of the playard floor upwards.
Napper/Changing table feels unstable.Not properly attached or locked.Verify that all attachment clips are fully engaged and the unit is securely seated on the playard rails. Refer to assembly instructions.
