3. Setup
3.1. Mounting the Riflescope
The CenterPoint LR312SFT2 riflescope is designed to be mounted using Picatinny-style rings (included). Ensure the rings are compatible with a 30mm tube diameter.
- Securely attach the bottom halves of the Picatinny rings to your firearm's Picatinny rail, ensuring proper eye relief. Eye relief is the distance from your eye to the eyepiece lens when the full field of view is visible.
- Place the riflescope into the bottom halves of the rings.
- Attach the top halves of the rings and tighten the screws evenly. Do not overtighten, as this can damage the riflescope tube. Ensure the riflescope is level before final tightening.
- Verify that the riflescope is securely mounted and does not move when subjected to light force.

3.2. Focusing the Eyepiece
The eyepiece (diopter) must be adjusted to your individual eye to ensure a sharp reticle image.
- Point the riflescope at a plain, bright background (e.g., a clear sky or a blank wall).
- Look through the riflescope and quickly glance at the reticle.
- Rotate the eyepiece adjustment ring until the reticle appears crisp and sharp. Avoid staring at the reticle for too long, as your eye may compensate for blurriness.
- Once adjusted, the eyepiece should not require further adjustment unless a different user operates the riflescope.
4. Operating the Riflescope
4.1. Magnification Adjustment
The magnification ring is located at the front of the eyepiece. Rotate this ring to change the magnification from 3x to 12x. Adjust to your desired magnification level based on target distance and environmental conditions.
4.2. Side Focus / Parallax Adjustment
The side focus knob, located on the left side of the riflescope, is used to eliminate parallax and achieve optimal image clarity at various distances. Parallax is the apparent shift in the reticle's position relative to the target when your eye moves slightly off-center.
- Set the riflescope to your desired magnification.
- Look through the riflescope at your target.
- Rotate the side focus knob until the target image appears sharp and clear.
- To check for parallax, move your head slightly up and down, or side to side, while looking through the scope. If the reticle appears to move relative to the target, adjust the side focus knob further until this movement is minimized or eliminated.

4.3. Windage and Elevation Adjustment (Precision Lock Turrets)
The windage (horizontal adjustment) and elevation (vertical adjustment) turrets are located on top and the right side of the riflescope body. These turrets feature a precision locking mechanism to prevent unintentional changes to your zero.
- To make an adjustment, first unlock the turret by pulling it upwards.
- Rotate the turret in the indicated direction (e.g., "UP" for elevation, "R" for right windage) to move the point of impact. Each click represents a specific adjustment value (refer to specifications for MOA/click).
- After making adjustments, push the turret back down to lock it in place. This secures your settings and prevents accidental movement.
4.4. Zero Resetting
The Precision Lock Turrets allow you to reset the turret dials to "0" after achieving your desired zero, without affecting the internal adjustments. This provides a convenient reference point for future adjustments.
- After successfully zeroing your riflescope, ensure the turrets are in the locked (down) position.
- Locate the small hex screws on the top of each turret dial.
- Using an appropriate hex key, loosen these screws. Do not remove them completely.
- Carefully rotate the numbered dial until the "0" mark aligns with the indicator line on the riflescope body.
- Once aligned, retighten the hex screws to secure the dial in the "0" position.
- The turret can now be adjusted from "0" and locked back down to "0" for quick return to your established zero.

5. Maintenance
5.1. Cleaning
- Lenses: Use a soft lens brush or compressed air to remove dust and loose debris. For smudges or fingerprints, use a clean microfiber lens cloth and a small amount of lens cleaning solution. Wipe gently in a circular motion. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Body: Wipe the riflescope body with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt or grime. For stubborn dirt, a mild soap solution can be used, followed by wiping with a clean, damp cloth. Ensure all moisture is removed before storage.
5.2. Storage
Store the riflescope in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for an extended period, consider using a protective case and ensuring the lenses are covered with the provided caps.
6. Troubleshooting
- Blurry Image:
- Adjust the eyepiece for reticle sharpness (Section 3.2).
- Adjust the side focus/parallax knob for target clarity (Section 4.2).
- Ensure lenses are clean (Section 5.1).
- Reticle Not Clear:
- Re-adjust the eyepiece (Section 3.2).
- Point of Impact Shift:
- Ensure mounting rings are securely tightened (Section 3.1).
- Verify that windage and elevation turrets are locked after adjustment (Section 4.3).
- Check for any physical damage to the riflescope or mounting system.
