Battery Installation and Charging
To install the battery, align it with the battery compartment on the rear of the camcorder and slide it in until it clicks into place. To remove, press the battery release button and slide the battery out. Connect the AC adapter to the camcorder and a power outlet to charge the battery. The charging indicator will illuminate.

Operating Instructions
Power On/Off
- To power on the camcorder, slide the POWER switch to the 'CAMERA' or 'PLAYER' position.
- To power off, slide the POWER switch to 'OFF'.
Tape Loading and Ejection
- Ensure the camcorder is in 'PLAYER' mode.
- Press the 'EJECT' button to open the tape compartment.
- Insert a Digital8 or Hi8 tape with the window facing outwards.
- Gently close the tape compartment until it locks. The camcorder will automatically load the tape.
- To eject, press the 'EJECT' button again.
Recording
- Slide the POWER switch to 'CAMERA'.
- Open the LCD screen or use the viewfinder.
- Press the 'START/STOP' button (located on the rear or top) to begin recording.
- Press 'START/STOP' again to pause recording.
