4. Setup
Follow these steps to prepare your vacuum cleaner for first use:
- Attach the Hose: Insert the hose connector into the suction inlet on the main unit until it clicks securely into place.
- Assemble the Telescopic Wand: Connect the handle end of the hose to the telescopic wand. Then, attach your desired floorhead (Electro Plus or Parquet Twister) to the other end of the telescopic wand. Adjust the wand length by pressing the release button and sliding the sections.
- Connect to Power: Extend the power cord from the vacuum cleaner and plug it into a suitable electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Power On/Off and Suction Control
To turn the vacuum cleaner on or off, press the foot pedal power button located on the main unit. The Miele Blizzard CX1 offers 4 suction power settings, which can be adjusted using the rotary dial on the main unit to suit different cleaning tasks and surfaces.
5.2 Using Floorheads
- SEB 228 Electro Plus Floorhead: This motorized floorhead is ideal for deep cleaning carpets and rugs. It features a roller brush that effectively dislodges and collects stubborn dirt and pet hair from carpet fibers.

The integrated accessories can be attached directly to the handle or the telescopic wand for specialized cleaning tasks:

5.4 Comfort Cord Rewind
The power cord features a comfort rewind function. To retract the cord, gently tap the foot pedal marked with a cord symbol on the main unit. The cord will automatically rewind into the appliance.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Emptying the Dust Container
The Miele Blizzard CX1 features a hygienic 'Push2open' system for emptying the dust container. When the dust container is full, indicated by the fill level indicator, remove it from the appliance by pulling it upwards. Press the 'Empty' button to release the bottom flap, allowing the dust to fall directly into a waste bin without significant contact.
