Setup and Installation

1. Choosing a Location

Select a discreet and secure location for mounting the key safe. Ensure the wall or surface is strong enough to support the weight of the safe and its contents.

2. Mounting the Safe

  1. Position the safe against the desired mounting surface and mark the locations of the pre-drilled mounting holes on the wall.
  2. Drill pilot holes at the marked locations using an appropriate drill bit for your wall type.
  3. Insert the wall anchors into the drilled holes.
  4. Align the safe with the anchors and secure it using the provided mounting screws. Tighten firmly to ensure the safe is stable and cannot be easily removed.

3. Installing Batteries

The electronic lock requires batteries (not included). Locate the battery compartment on the inside of the safe door, typically behind the keypad. Insert the correct type and number of batteries as indicated by the compartment markings (usually AA batteries).

Operating Instructions

1. Initial Opening (Factory Default Code)

The safe comes with a factory default PIN code (e.g., "1234"). To open:

  1. Enter the default PIN code on the keypad.
  2. Turn the knob clockwise to open the door.

2. Programming a New PIN Code

It is crucial to change the default PIN code immediately for security. Your new PIN can be 3 to 8 digits long.

  1. With the door open, press the red reset button located on the inside of the safe door (usually near the hinge). The indicator light on the keypad will illuminate.
  2. Enter your desired new PIN code (3-8 digits).
  3. Press the "A" or "B" button (or "#" or "*" depending on model) to confirm. The indicator light will flash, confirming the new code is set.
  4. Test the new code with the door open before closing it.

3. Emergency Key Override

In case of battery failure or forgotten PIN, use the emergency override keys:

  1. Locate the emergency keyhole, usually hidden behind a small cover on the keypad panel.
  2. Insert one of the emergency keys and turn it to unlock the safe.
  3. Turn the knob to open the door.

4. Organizing Keys

The safe features 11 adjustable key hook strips and 132 key fobs for efficient organization. Use the numbering system on the key fobs and strips to categorize your keys.
