5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Volume Control

Each channel on the receiver unit has an independent volume control knob. Adjust these knobs to set the desired output level for each microphone. For optimal sound, it is often recommended to manage overall volume through your connected soundboard or amplifier.

5.2. Microphone Usage

The PRORECK MX44 microphones are unidirectional (cardioid pickup pattern). For best sound quality and to minimize background noise, speak directly into the top of the microphone, keeping it relatively close to your mouth. This design focuses on capturing sound from the intended source.

5.3. Operating Range

The system offers an operating range of up to 200 feet within line of sight. Ensure there are no major obstructions between the microphones and the receiver for consistent signal quality.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Battery Replacement

Each microphone requires two AA batteries. When the microphone's display indicates low power, replace the batteries promptly. Note that some slightly oversized AA batteries may be difficult to insert or remove. Standard alkaline or rechargeable NiMH batteries (like Eneloop) are generally recommended for best fit and longevity. The system is not compatible with rechargeable batteries that require external charging via the microphone itself.

6.2. Cleaning

Wipe the receiver and microphones with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as they may damage the finish or internal components.

6.3. Microphone Grill

The microphone grill can be unscrewed and removed for cleaning or replacement if it becomes damaged.
