5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your wall mount.
- Cleaning: Wipe the mount with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Fastener Check: Periodically check all screws and bolts to ensure they remain tight and secure. Re-tighten if necessary.
- Movement Check: Test the articulating arm's movement occasionally to ensure it operates smoothly. If movement becomes stiff, a small amount of lubricant can be applied to the joints.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues, refer to the following common problems and solutions.
- Mount is difficult to move/adjust: The joints may require lubrication. Apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to the moving parts. Ensure all bolts are not overtightened, which can restrict movement.
- TV does not fit the VESA plate: Double-check your TV's VESA pattern against the mount's specifications. Ensure you are using the correct screws and spacers for your TV model.
- Mount feels unstable: Verify that the wall plate is securely fastened to a solid wood stud. Ensure all connections, especially between the VESA plate and the articulating arm, are tightened. Do not exceed the maximum weight capacity.
- Screws are too short for TV: Some TV models have deeper mounting holes. The kit includes various screw lengths and spacers. If the provided screws are still too short, you may need to acquire longer screws of the correct thread size.
