3. Setup Guide

3.1 Drive Installation

The ThunderBay 4 supports both 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch drives. No adapters are needed for either size. Follow these steps to install your drives:

1. Unlock the front panel of the ThunderBay 4 using one of the provided keys.
2. Gently pull out the drive trays.
3. Secure your 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch drives to the trays using the provided screws. Ensure the connectors align correctly.
4. Slide the loaded trays back into the ThunderBay 4 until they click into place.
5. Close and lock the front panel.

Connect the ThunderBay 4 to your computer using the supplied Thunderbolt 3 cable. Plug one end into a Thunderbolt 3 port on the ThunderBay 4 and the other end into a Thunderbolt 3 port on your computer.

Connect the power cable to the ThunderBay 4 and a power outlet. Flip the power switch to the ON position. The unit will power on, and the drive indicator lights will illuminate.
