5. Installation
The Respekta CH33060WB cooker hood is designed for wall mounting. Ensure the mounting surface is strong enough to support the appliance's weight.
5.1 Mounting the Hood
- Carefully unpack the cooker hood and check for any transport damage.
- Determine the optimal mounting height above your cooking surface, typically between 65-75 cm for electric hobs and 75-85 cm for gas hobs.
- Mark the drilling points on the wall according to the provided mounting template (if included) or the dimensions in the manual.
- Drill the holes and insert wall plugs.
- Secure the mounting bracket to the wall using the provided screws.
- Carefully lift the cooker hood and hang it onto the mounting bracket.
- Attach the shaft to the top of the hood and secure it to the wall. The hood can be installed with or without the decorative shaft, depending on your kitchen design.

5.2 Electrical Connection
Connect the cooker hood to a grounded electrical outlet. The power cable length is 120 cm.
5.3 Ventilation System Setup
The hood supports both exhaust and recirculation modes:
- Exhaust Air (Abluft): For exhaust operation, connect the hood to an external ducting system. The connection diameter for exhaust air is 150 cm. Ensure the ducting is clear and unobstructed.
- Recirculation Air (Umluft): For recirculation operation, the air is filtered and returned to the kitchen. This mode requires the installation of activated carbon filters (e.g., MIZ 0060 N), which are not included and must be purchased separately.

6. Operation
The cooker hood is operated via user-friendly push buttons located on the front panel.
6.1 Power Levels
The hood offers three power levels to adjust the extraction rate according to your cooking needs:
- Level 1 (Low): Suitable for light odors and simmering.
- Level 2 (Medium): For moderate cooking and general ventilation.
- Level 3 (High): For strong odors and intensive cooking, providing maximum airflow of 316 m³/h.

6.2 LED Lighting
The integrated LED lights (2 x 1.5 Watt) illuminate your cooking surface. Use the dedicated light button on the control panel to switch them on or off.

6.3 Noise Levels
The cooker hood operates quietly, with noise levels ranging from 51 to 63.5 dB depending on the selected power level.

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your cooker hood.
7.1 Cleaning the Metal Grease Filter
The metal grease filter (MIZ 33060) collects grease particles from cooking vapors. It should be cleaned regularly, typically every 2-4 weeks depending on usage, to maintain effective extraction.
- To remove the filter, locate the release latches and gently pull the filter downwards.
- The filter is washable and dishwasher-safe. For manual cleaning, use warm soapy water and a soft brush.
- Ensure the filter is completely dry before re-inserting it.
- To re-insert, align the filter with the slots and push it upwards until it clicks into place.

7.2 Replacing Activated Carbon Filters (Recirculation Mode Only)
If you are using the hood in recirculation mode, the activated carbon filters absorb odors. These filters cannot be washed and must be replaced regularly, typically every 3-6 months depending on usage.
- Refer to the specific instructions provided with your activated carbon filters for replacement procedures.
- Ensure the hood is disconnected from power before replacing filters.
7.3 Exterior Cleaning
Clean the exterior surfaces of the hood with a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaning agent. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the finish.
8. Troubleshooting
If you experience issues with your cooker hood, consult the following common troubleshooting steps:
- Hood does not turn on:
- Check if the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet.
- Verify that the circuit breaker has not tripped.
- Poor extraction performance:
- Ensure the metal grease filter is clean and not clogged.
- If in recirculation mode, check if the activated carbon filters need replacement.
- Verify that the exhaust ducting (if used) is not blocked or kinked.
- Ensure there is adequate air supply in the kitchen.
- Excessive noise:
- Check if the metal grease filter is correctly installed.
- Ensure all mounting screws are tightened.
- Verify that the ducting (if used) is properly installed and not vibrating.
- Lights not working:
- Check if the light switch is on.
- LED lights typically have a long lifespan, but if they fail, contact customer service for replacement options.
If the problem persists after performing these checks, please contact Respekta customer service.
