Note: The valve remains normally open when no operator is mounted, allowing for initial system filling and purging.

6. Operation

The Danfoss RA2000 valve operates by controlling the flow of heating medium to the radiator or convector. When a compatible thermostatic radiator operator is installed, it senses the room temperature and adjusts the valve opening to maintain the desired temperature. Without an operator, the valve will remain in a fully open position, allowing maximum flow.

Manual Control:

The manual plastic cap provided with the valve can be used for temporary manual control during installation or in the absence of an operator. This cap allows for basic open/close functionality by pressing down on the valve pushpin.

7. Maintenance

The Danfoss RA2000 valve is designed for long-term reliability with minimal maintenance. A key maintenance feature is the replaceable packing gland assembly.
