1. Setup

1.1 Unpacking and Initial Setup

Carefully remove the printer from its packaging. Ensure all protective materials and tapes are removed before powering on the device. Refer to the 'In the Box' diagram to identify all components.

1.2 Power Connection

Connect the power cord to the printer and then to a grounded electrical outlet. Power on the printer using the power button, typically located on the control panel.

1.3 Network Connectivity

The WF-C5710 supports wireless (Wi-Fi) and Ethernet connectivity for seamless network integration. Follow the on-screen instructions on the 4.3-inch touchscreen display to configure your preferred connection method.

  • Wireless Setup: Select the Wi-Fi option on the touchscreen, choose your network from the list, and enter the password.

2. Operating Instructions

2.1 Control Panel and Touchscreen

2.2 Loading Paper

The printer has a paper tray with a maximum capacity of 830 sheets. To load paper, pull out the paper tray, adjust the guides to fit the paper size, and insert the paper stack. Ensure the paper is not overloaded.

2.3 Printing Documents

To print, select the print function from your computer or mobile device. Choose the Epson WF-C5710 as your printer. You can select options such as color or black and white, single-sided or automatic 2-sided (duplex) printing. The printer offers fast speeds of up to 24 ISO ppm for both black and color prints.

2.4 Copying Documents

Place your document on the scanner glass or in the 50-page duplex Automatic Document Feeder (ADF). On the touchscreen, select 'Copy'. Adjust settings such as number of copies, color/mono, and 2-sided options, then press 'Start'. The maximum copy speed for black and white is 40 ppm.

2.5 Scanning Documents

Place your document on the scanner glass or in the ADF. On the touchscreen, select 'Scan'. You can choose to scan to a computer, network folder, or USB drive. Follow the prompts to select scan settings and initiate the scan.

2.6 Faxing Documents

Load your document on the scanner glass or in the ADF. On the touchscreen, select 'Fax'. Enter the recipient's fax number and adjust any necessary settings, then press 'Start'.

3. Maintenance

3.1 Replacing Ink Packs

The WF-C5710 uses a Replaceable Ink Pack System (CMYK liquid inkjet). When an ink pack is low or empty, the printer will display a notification. To replace an ink pack:

  1. Open the ink pack cover on the side of the printer.
  2. Remove the empty ink pack by pressing the release tab and pulling it out.
  3. Unpack the new ink pack and insert it into the correct slot until it clicks into place.
  4. Close the ink pack cover.
