1. Introduction

4. Front Panel Controls

• INPUT: Connect your guitar here using a standard 1/4" instrument cable.
• CLEAN VOLUME: Adjusts the output level of the Clean channel.
• CHANNEL SWITCH: Toggles between the Clean and Overdrive channels.
• GAIN: Controls the amount of overdrive/distortion on the Overdrive channel. Higher settings produce more aggressive tones.
• OVERDRIVE VOLUME: Adjusts the output level of the Overdrive channel.
• CONTOUR: This tone-shaping control allows you to sweep from a warm, mid-heavy tone to a scooped, modern sound.
• HEADPHONE OUTPUT: Connect headphones for silent practice. This output features speaker emulation for a realistic sound.
• AUX INPUT: Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, phone) using a 3.5mm stereo cable to play along with your favorite tracks.

• POWER INPUT: Connect the supplied power cable here. Ensure the amplifier is switched off before connecting or disconnecting the power cable.

6. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Marshall MG10G-U amplifier:

1. Placement: Place the amplifier on a stable, flat surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
2. Power Connection: With the amplifier's POWER switch in the OFF position, connect the supplied power cable to the POWER INPUT on the rear panel and then to a suitable mains power outlet.
3. Guitar Connection: Connect your guitar to the INPUT jack on the front panel using a high-quality instrument cable.
4. Initial Settings: Turn all volume and gain controls to their minimum (zero) position before powering on.

7. Operating Your Amplifier

• Cleaning: Keep the amplifier clean by wiping it with a dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.

• No Sound: Verify your guitar is properly connected. Check all volume controls (Clean Volume, Overdrive Volume, Guitar Volume) are turned up. Ensure headphones are not plugged in if you expect sound from the speaker.
• Distorted Sound (unexpected): Check your guitar cable for damage. Reduce the GAIN setting if on the Overdrive channel. Ensure your guitar's volume is not excessively high.
