Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your amplifier.

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the amplifier. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the leather and plastic materials.
  • Storage: Store the amplifier in a dry, temperature-controlled environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Ventilation: Ensure that the amplifier's vents are not obstructed to prevent overheating.
  • Transportation: When transporting the amplifier, ensure it is securely packed to prevent physical damage.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your amplifier, please refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • No Power: Check the power cable connection at both the amplifier and the wall outlet. Ensure the power switch is in the 'ON' position. Test the outlet with another device.
  • No Sound: Verify that your guitar is properly plugged into the 'INPUT' jack. Check all volume controls (guitar, channel volume, master volume) are turned up. Ensure the speaker cable (if applicable) is securely connected. Test with a different instrument cable or guitar if possible.
  • Distorted Sound (Unwanted): Check the 'GAIN' setting; if it's too high for the selected channel, it may cause unwanted distortion. Adjust EQ settings.
  • Effects Not Working: Ensure the FX knob is engaged and adjusted correctly.

If the problem persists after attempting these steps, please contact Marshall customer support or an authorized service center.
