2. Safety Information

Always observe basic safety precautions when using this appliance to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury.

  • Electrical Safety: Ensure the freezer is connected to a properly grounded 115 Volt, dedicated electrical outlet. Do not use extension cords or adapter plugs.
  • Ventilation: Maintain adequate clearance around the unit for proper ventilation to prevent overheating. Refer to installation guidelines for specific distances.
  • Handling: The unit is heavy. Use appropriate lifting techniques and equipment during unpacking and placement to avoid injury.
  • Flammable Materials: Do not store explosive substances or flammable materials inside or near the freezer.
  • Children: Keep children away from the appliance. Ensure the door cannot be accidentally closed on a child.

3. Unpacking and Installation

3.1 Unpacking

  1. Carefully remove all packaging materials, including tape and protective film.
  2. Inspect the freezer for any shipping damage. Report any damage immediately to the carrier and your supplier.
  3. Remove any internal packing materials and accessories.

3.2 Placement

  • Place the freezer on a strong, level surface capable of supporting its weight when fully loaded.
  • Ensure adequate air circulation. Maintain a minimum of 3 inches (7.6 cm) clearance from walls or other equipment on the sides and rear, and 6 inches (15.2 cm) on top.
  • Avoid direct sunlight or proximity to heat-generating appliances (e.g., ovens, stoves).

3.3 Caster Installation

The unit comes with free casters for mobility. Install them securely into the designated sockets at the bottom of the freezer. Ensure all casters are locked once the unit is in its final position to prevent accidental movement.

3.4 Electrical Connection

Connect the freezer to a dedicated 115 Volt, 60 Hz, single-phase AC power supply with a proper ground. Do not overload the circuit. Allow the unit to stand for at least 2 hours after moving before plugging it in to allow compressor oils to settle.

4. Operation

4.1 Initial Startup

After connecting to power, the freezer will begin to cool. Allow the unit to operate empty for several hours (e.g., 4-6 hours) to reach its set temperature before loading with products.

4.2 Temperature Control

The freezer is equipped with a factory-set temperature control. Refer to the control panel for adjustments. Typically, commercial freezers operate at -10°F (-23°C) to 0°F (-18°C). Adjust the thermostat incrementally and allow time for the temperature to stabilize.

4.3 Loading the Freezer

  • Distribute products evenly on the three adjustable vinyl-coated wire shelves.
  • Do not block the air vents inside the freezer, as this can impede air circulation and cooling efficiency.
  • Avoid overloading shelves beyond their weight capacity.

4.4 Door Operation

The single door is self-closing to minimize temperature fluctuations and energy consumption. Ensure the door closes completely after each use. The door is also equipped with locks for security.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

5.1 Regular Cleaning

  • Interior: Clean the interior regularly with a mild soap and water solution. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Do not use abrasive cleaners or sharp objects.
  • Exterior: Wipe down the stainless steel exterior with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner designed for stainless steel.
  • Door Gaskets: Clean door gaskets frequently to ensure a proper seal. Inspect for cracks or tears and replace if damaged.

5.2 Condenser Coil Cleaning

The condenser coil should be cleaned regularly (e.g., monthly or quarterly, depending on environment) to maintain optimal performance and energy efficiency. Disconnect power before cleaning. Use a stiff brush or vacuum cleaner to remove dust and debris from the coil fins. A dirty condenser coil can lead to reduced cooling capacity and increased energy consumption.

5.3 Defrosting

This unit features an automatic defrost system. However, if excessive ice buildup occurs, manually defrost the unit by emptying it, disconnecting power, and allowing the ice to melt. Do not use sharp objects to remove ice.

Before contacting service, review the following common issues and solutions:
