1. Introduction
This manual provides essential instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Bitmain AntMiner T9+ ASIC Miner. The AntMiner T9+ is designed for mining Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash, offering a hash rate of 10.5TH/s.
2. Safety Information
Please read and understand all safety warnings before operating the device.
- The AntMiner T9+ operates at a high noise level and is not suitable for desktop use. It produces a sound comparable to a loud vacuum.
- Ensure a stable 12V DC power source is used.
- Do not connect more than one Power Supply Unit (PSU) to the same hash board to prevent potential damage and instability.
- Operate the device within the specified temperature range of 0°C to 40°C.
3. Product Overview
The Bitmain AntMiner T9+ is an ASIC (Application-Specific Integrated Circuit) miner engineered for reliability, stability, and longevity in cryptocurrency mining operations. It features a robust design with multiple hash boards and integrated cooling fans.
3.1 Key Features
- Hash Rate: 10.5TH/s (within ±7%)
- Power Consumption: 1450W (±10%) as measured from the wall (Power supply sold separately).
- Power Efficiency: 0.136 J/GH at the wall (with Bitmain's APW3++ PSU).
- Easy-to-use web interface, eliminating the need for a host computer.
- Equipped with 162 x BM1387 chips.
3.2 Components
The AntMiner T9+ consists of a main chassis housing three hash boards, a control board, and two cooling fans. Power is supplied via PCI-e connectors.

4. Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to set up your AntMiner T9+ for operation.
- Power Supply Connection: The AntMiner T9+ requires TEN 6-pin PCI-e connectors for 12V DC input. There are three hash boards, each requiring three 6-pin PCI-e connectors, and one additional 6-pin PCI-e connector on the controller. All TEN 6-pin PCI-e connectors must be connected. Ensure your power source is very stable. Do not connect more than one PSU to the same hash board to prevent possible damage and instability.
- Power Supply Unit (PSU) Selection: A power supply is NOT included with the miner. Bitmain recommends the APW3++ PSU when using a 220V power source. If using a 110V power source, the EVGA SuperNova 1600 G2 is recommended.
- Network Connection: Connect an Ethernet cable (not included) from your network router or switch to the Ethernet port on the AntMiner T9+ control board.
- Initial Power On: Once all connections are secure, connect the PSU to a power outlet and power on the unit. The miner will boot up automatically.
5. Operating Instructions
The AntMiner T9+ utilizes a web-based interface for configuration and monitoring.
- Accessing the Web Interface: After powering on, the miner will obtain an IP address from your network's DHCP server. You can find the miner's IP address using an IP scanner tool on your network or by checking your router's connected devices list.
- Login: Open a web browser and enter the miner's IP address. You will be prompted for login credentials (default username and password are typically 'root' for both, but refer to Bitmain's official documentation for the most current defaults).
- Configuration: Within the web interface, navigate to the 'Miner Configuration' or 'Network Settings' section to set up your mining pool details, worker name, and password.
- Monitoring: The interface provides real-time statistics on hash rate, temperature, and fan speed. Regularly monitor these parameters to ensure optimal performance.
6. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and efficiency of your AntMiner T9+.
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior of the miner, especially the fan grilles, to prevent dust buildup which can impede airflow and lead to overheating. Use compressed air for internal cleaning if necessary, ensuring the device is powered off.
- Environmental Control: Maintain the operating environment within the recommended temperature range (0°C to 40°C) and ensure adequate ventilation.
- Firmware Updates: Check the official Bitmain website for any available firmware updates. Apply updates as recommended to improve performance and security.
7. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter.
- Metal Clanking/Rattling: It is normal to hear metal clanking or rattling when moving the AntMiner T9+. This sound originates from the hashing boards shifting against the metal frame and does not indicate loose parts or a defective item.
- Overheating/Shutdown: If the miner overheats and shuts down, verify that the operating temperature is within 0°C to 40°C. Check for obstructions in the fan grilles and ensure proper airflow. Confirm that the power consumption is within specifications and that the PSU is functioning correctly.
- No IP Address: If the miner does not obtain an IP address, check the Ethernet cable connection and ensure your network's DHCP server is operational. You may need to manually configure a static IP address via the web interface if DHCP is not available or preferred.
- Performance Issues: If the hash rate is lower than expected, ensure all 6-pin PCI-e connectors are securely attached to all hash boards and the control board. Verify that your mining pool settings are correctly configured.
- Device Failure: In the event of a provable failure within the warranty period, immediately contact the seller for troubleshooting assistance or to process a replacement.
