4. Operating Instructions
The winder offers multiple settings for Turns Per Day (TPD) and rotation direction to suit various automatic watch requirements.
4.1 Selecting Rotation Mode and TPD
On the back of the winder, you will find switches to select the desired rotation mode and TPD setting.
- Rotation Direction: Choose between Clockwise (CW), Counter-Clockwise (CCW), or Alternating (both CW and CCW).
- Turns Per Day (TPD): Select from 650, 850, 1050, or 1250 TPD.
Refer to your watch manufacturer's specifications or an online watch winder database to determine the optimal TPD and rotation direction for your specific watch model.
4.2 Rotation Mode Details
| Mode | TPD | Cycle Description |
|---|---|---|
| I | 650 | Rotates for 3 minutes 28 seconds, then rests for 56 minutes 32 seconds. Repeats hourly. |
| II | 850 | Rotates for 4 minutes 48 seconds, then rests for 55 minutes 12 seconds. Repeats hourly. |
| III | 1050 | Rotates for 5 minutes 28 seconds, then rests for 54 minutes 32 seconds. Repeats hourly. |
| IV | 1250 | Rotates for 6 minutes 28 seconds, then rests for 53 minutes 22 seconds. Repeats hourly. |
After selecting your desired mode, the winder will begin its cycle. It may rotate for a few minutes and then stop; this is normal as it enters its rest period before resuming the hourly cycle.
5. Maintenance
- Clean the exterior of the winder with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Keep the winder away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity.
- Ensure the watch pillow is clean and free of debris to prevent scratching your watch.
- If using battery power, replace batteries when the motor performance diminishes or stops. Remove batteries if the winder will not be used for an extended period.
6. Troubleshooting
- Winder is not rotating:
- Check if the power adapter is securely connected or if batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge.
- Ensure only one power source (AC or batteries) is connected at a time.
- Verify that a rotation mode is selected.
- Remember that the winder operates in cycles and may be in a rest period. Wait for the next rotation cycle to observe operation.
- Watch is not winding sufficiently:
- Confirm the correct TPD and rotation direction are selected for your specific watch model.
- Ensure the watch is securely seated on the pillow and not obstructed.
- Excessive noise:
- The MOZSLY winder uses a quiet motor. If unusual noise occurs, ensure the winder is on a flat, stable surface and that the watch is properly seated.
- Contact customer support if the noise persists.
