Model: IVAOZAP04

Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and effective use of your Ivation 5-in-1 HEPA Air Purifier & Ozone Generator. This advanced system is designed to clean, freshen, filter, and eliminate dust and airborne contaminants, providing a more comfortable breathing experience in your home or office.

Important Safety Information

  • California Air Cleaner Regulation: This product does not meet California Air Cleaner Regulation requirements and cannot be shipped to California.
  • Ozone Use: Ozone (O3) gas can be harmful to living beings. Do not operate the ozone generator function in the same room as people or pets. Always turn on the ozone function and then leave the room. Upon returning, open windows and doors to allow the room to air out before re-entering for extended periods.
  • Filter Maintenance: Ensure ceramic plates are completely dry before re-inserting them after cleaning. Water on the plates can damage the machine and cause crackling sounds.
  • General Safety: Statements regarding dietary supplements have not been evaluated by the FDA and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition.

Product Overview

The Ivation 5-in-1 Air Purifier combines multiple technologies for comprehensive air treatment:

  • Ozonator: Converts oxygen to ozone for a clean-smelling effect, removing odors caused by smoke, pets, food, paint, etc.
  • HEPA Filter: Captures airborne particles.
  • Activated Carbon Filter: Absorbs odors and harmful gases.
  • Photocatalytic Filter: Works with UV light to break down pollutants.
  • Ultraviolet Germicidal Lamp (UV Light): Helps neutralize airborne microorganisms.
  • Negative Ion Generator: Releases charged particles to minimize dust, dander, mold spores, pollen, and other common indoor allergens and pollutants.

Setup

  1. Unpack the air purifier and all its components.
  2. Ensure the three ceramic ozone plates are correctly inserted into their designated slots. These are typically located behind the main filter assembly.
  3. Verify that all filters (HEPA, Activated Carbon, Photocatalytic) are properly seated within the unit.
  4. Replace the filter assembly and secure the back panel by screwing in the three retaining knobs.
  5. Place the unit on a stable, flat surface in the desired area, ensuring adequate air circulation around it.
  6. Plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet.

Operation

The Ivation Air Purifier features two main control knobs on the front panel:

  • O3 Sanitizer (Ozone) Control: This knob allows you to select the ozone output level (Low, Medium, High) based on the square footage of the area you wish to treat. Always ensure no people or pets are present in the room when using the ozone function.
  • Ionization & UV Fan Speed Control: This knob controls the fan speed and activates the ionization and UV light functions. Settings include Low, Medium, and High. The fan must be running for the ozone function to operate.

To operate the unit:

  1. Turn the "Ionization & UV Fan Speed" knob to your desired fan speed (Low, Medium, or High). This will activate the fan, ionizer, and UV light.
  2. If you wish to use the ozone function, turn the "O3 Sanitizer" knob to the appropriate setting (Low, Medium, or High) for your room size. Remember to vacate the room while the ozone function is active.
  3. When returning to a room where ozone was used, open windows and doors to ventilate the area thoroughly before prolonged occupancy.

The unit operates with a noticeable fan sound, similar to a hair dryer on a low setting, which some users find provides pleasant white noise.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your air purifier.

  • Filter Access: To access the filters and internal components for cleaning, unscrew the three retaining knobs on the back panel and remove the filter assembly.
  • Filter Cleaning/Replacement: The HEPA, Activated Carbon, and Photocatalytic filters are designed for long-term use but should be checked periodically for dust and debris buildup. While some filters may be washable, always refer to the specific filter instructions for cleaning or replacement guidelines.
  • Ceramic Ozone Plates: The ceramic ozone plates can collect dust and debris. Periodically remove them and wash with water and soap. It is crucial that these plates are completely dry before re-inserting them into the unit to prevent damage.
  • Fan Grill: The front fan grill is removable for cleaning.
