3.1 Wiring Diagram (4+N System)

The Urmet 1122/601 uses a 4+N wire system. A detailed wiring diagram is typically provided with the product packaging. Ensure correct polarity and secure connections for all wires.

Key Wiring Considerations:

  • Power Supply: Connect the 230V AC 50Hz mains power to the input terminals of the provided power supply unit. The power supply outputs 12V DC for the intercom system.

  • Maximum Distance: The maximum recommended distance between the outdoor unit and the indoor intercom unit is 300 meters.

3.2 Mounting the Outdoor Unit

The MIKRA outdoor unit has dimensions of H x W x D 185 x 99 x 22 mm. The nameplate dimensions are 26 x 55 mm (h x w) with white LED backlighting. It has an IP44 protection rating, suitable for outdoor installation.

  1. Choose a suitable location near the entrance, at a height that allows comfortable use for all users.
  2. Mark the drilling points using the unit as a template.
  3. Drill holes and insert wall plugs.
  4. Feed the necessary wiring through the wall to the unit's connection points.
  5. Secure the outdoor unit to the wall using the provided screws.
  6. Connect the wires according to the wiring diagram.

  4. Mount the indoor unit securely to the wall.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Receiving a Call

When a visitor presses the call button on the outdoor unit, the indoor unit will produce an electronic call tone. Lift the handset to establish communication with the visitor.

4.2 Speaking to a Visitor

After lifting the handset, speak clearly into the microphone and listen for the visitor's response through the earpiece.

4.3 Opening the Door (if connected)

If an electric door lock release is connected to the system, press the designated door release button on the indoor unit to unlock the door for the visitor.

4.4 Using the Auxiliary Button

The MIRO' Mod. 1150 indoor unit features an additional button. This button can be configured to control a second auxiliary service, such as a gate opener, an additional light, or another compatible device. Refer to your installer or the specific wiring diagram for details on connecting and operating this auxiliary function.

4.5 Parallel Intercom Systems

The system supports connecting up to two intercom systems in parallel. This allows for multiple indoor units to receive calls and communicate with the outdoor unit. Consult the detailed wiring diagram for parallel connection instructions.

5. Maintenance and Care

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Urmet intercom system, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the indoor and outdoor units with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or strong chemicals, as these can damage the finish.
  • Outdoor Unit: Periodically check the outdoor unit for any debris or obstructions around the call button and speaker/microphone areas.
  • Connections: Do not attempt to open the units. If you suspect a loose connection or internal issue, contact a qualified technician.
  • Environmental Conditions: While the outdoor unit has an IP44 rating, extreme weather conditions (e.g., heavy snow, direct prolonged sunlight) may affect its performance over time.
