4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning
Wipe the stopwatch with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the casing or display.
4.2 Water Resistance
The Adanac 3000 is water resistant. This means it can withstand splashes, rain, and brief immersion in water. However, it is not designed for prolonged underwater use or diving. Ensure the battery compartment is securely closed after any battery replacement to maintain water resistance.
4.3 Storage
Store the stopwatch in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use. For long-term storage, consider removing the batteries to prevent potential leakage, which can damage the device.
5. Troubleshooting
- Faint or Blank Display: This often indicates low battery power. Replace the 2 LR44 batteries as described in the Setup section. Ensure batteries are seated correctly.
- Buttons Not Responding: Check if the stopwatch is in the correct mode. If the issue persists after battery replacement, contact customer support.
- Inaccurate Timing: The stopwatch is laser-tuned for 1/100th second accuracy. If you suspect inaccuracy, ensure proper button presses. If the problem continues, the unit may require servicing.
- No Audible Beep: The stopwatch is designed to provide positive feedback with an audible beep. If the beep is absent, check for any obstructions or if the sound function has been inadvertently disabled (refer to the included leaflet for specific settings).
