3. Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the ice maker from its packaging. Remove all packing materials, tapes, and labels.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, clean the interior of the ice maker, including the water reservoir and ice basket, with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
- Placement: Place the ice maker on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is at least 10 cm of space around the unit for proper ventilation. Avoid placing it near heat sources or in direct sunlight.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet (240V, 50Hz).
- First Use Delay: After transport, allow the appliance to stand upright for at least 2 hours before plugging it in to allow the refrigerant to settle.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Filling the Water Reservoir
- Open the top lid of the ice maker.
- Pour potable water into the water reservoir up to the MAX fill line. Do not overfill. The water tank capacity is 1.1 litres.
- Close the lid securely.
4.2 Making Ice
- Press the 'ON/OFF' button on the control panel to start the ice making cycle. The 'ICE' indicator light will illuminate.
- The ice maker will begin producing ice cubes. The first batch of ice may take slightly longer.
- The ice maker will automatically stop when the ice basket is full. The 'ICE FULL' indicator light will illuminate.
- When the water level is low, the 'ADD WATER' indicator light will illuminate, and the unit will stop making ice. Refill the water reservoir to resume operation.
- To stop the ice making process at any time, press the 'ON/OFF' button.
4.3 Indicator Lights
- ICE: Illuminates when the ice maker is actively producing ice.
- ICE FULL: Illuminates when the ice basket is full. The unit will pause operation.
- ADD WATER: Illuminates when the water reservoir needs refilling. The unit will pause operation.
5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your ice maker.
5.1 Daily Cleaning
- Unplug the appliance before cleaning.
- Remove the ice basket and wash it with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Drain any remaining water from the reservoir.
- Wipe the interior and exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth.
5.2 Periodic Cleaning (Monthly)
- For thorough cleaning, a solution of water and vinegar (1:1 ratio) can be used to clean the water reservoir and internal components.
- Run a cycle with this solution (without making ice), then drain and rinse thoroughly with clean water multiple times to remove any residue.
- Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling and storing.
5.3 Storage
If the ice maker will not be used for an extended period, clean it thoroughly, drain all water, and allow it to air dry completely before storing in a cool, dry place.
