5. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to properly install your EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G+ Power Supply into your computer system.

  1. Preparation: Ensure your computer is completely powered off and unplugged from the wall outlet. Open your computer case to access the power supply mounting area.
  2. Mounting the PSU: Carefully slide the EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G+ into the power supply bay of your computer case. Secure it using the provided mounting screws.
  3. Cable Connection:
    • Connect the 24-pin ATX cable to the motherboard.
    • Connect the 4+4-pin or 8-pin EPS/CPU cable(s) to the motherboard's CPU power connector(s).
    • Connect the 6+2-pin PCIe cables to your graphics card(s) as required.
    • Connect SATA power cables to your storage drives (HDDs, SSDs) and optical drives.
    • Connect peripheral (Molex) cables to any other components requiring them (e.g., case fans, fan controllers).

Note: Only connect the cables you need to reduce cable clutter and improve airflow.

  4. Power ON Self Tester: Before installing the PSU into your system, you can use the included Power ON Self Tester to verify basic functionality. Plug the 24-pin ATX cable into the tester, then plug the AC power cord into the PSU and a wall outlet. If the PSU fan spins, it indicates basic functionality. Disconnect the AC power and remove the tester before proceeding with full system installation.
  5. Finalizing: Route cables neatly to ensure proper airflow. Close your computer case. Connect the AC power cord to the power supply and then to a wall outlet.
