Setup

Charging the Device

  1. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the charging port on the MD-R21.
  2. Plug the other end of the USB cable into a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
  3. The charging indicator light will illuminate during charging and turn off or change color when fully charged.
  4. A full charge provides approximately 1.5 hours of playback time.

Inserting a TF Card or USB Drive

  1. Locate the TF card slot or USB port on the device.
  2. Gently insert your TF card (MicroSD) or USB flash drive into the corresponding slot/port with the contacts facing the correct direction. Do not force it.
  3. Ensure the storage device contains compatible audio files (e.g., MP3 format).

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

  • To power on, slide the power switch to the 'ON' position. The display will light up.
  • To power off, slide the power switch to the 'OFF' position.

Mode Selection

Press the 'M' (Mode) button on the keypad to cycle through available modes: USB, TF Card, and FM Radio. The current mode will be indicated on the digital display.

Music Playback (USB/TF Card)

  • Play/Pause: Press the Play/Pause button (often indicated by a '►▌▌') to start or pause playback.
  • Next/Previous Track: Use the '◀◀' (Previous) and '▶▶' (Next) buttons to skip tracks.
  • Volume Control: Long press the '◀◀' button to decrease volume and long press the '▶▶' button to increase volume.
  • Direct Track Selection: In USB/TF mode, use the numeric keypad (0-9) to directly enter the track number and press Play/Pause to confirm.

FM Radio Operation

  • Auto-Scan: In FM mode, long press the Play/Pause button to initiate an automatic scan for available radio stations. The device will save detected stations.
  • Manual Tuning: Use the '◀◀' and '▶▶' buttons to manually tune to the next or previous saved station.
  • Direct Frequency Input: Use the numeric keypad (0-9) to enter the desired FM frequency (e.g., 105.0 for 105.0 MHz) and press Play/Pause to tune.
  • Antenna: For better FM reception, extend the built-in antenna if available, or ensure the device is in an open area.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the device regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.
  • Water Exposure: This device is not waterproof. Avoid exposure to water or high humidity.

Troubleshooting
