5. Setup and Connection

5.1 Power Supply Connection

1. Connect a 3.7V lithium battery (with charging protection) to the BAT+ and BAT- terminals.
2. Alternatively, connect a 3.7V-5V DC power supply to the 3.7V-5V Power Positive Electrode and Power Negative Electrode.
3. The on-board USB interface can also be used to supply 5V power or charge a connected lithium battery.

5.2 Speaker Connection

1. Connect your speakers to the Lout+/Lout- (Left Channel) and Rout+/Rout- (Right Channel) terminals.
2. The module is compatible with 2-8 ohm and 3-10W speakers. For optimal performance, 3 ohm & 5W or 4 ohm & 10W speakers are recommended.
3. Ensure correct polarity when connecting speakers for proper audio output. Do not connect the negative terminals of the left and right channels together if your speakers are not designed for a common ground.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Bluetooth Pairing

1. Power on the module. The blue work indicator will illuminate, indicating it is ready for pairing.
2. On your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
3. Select the device named 'JieLi BR21' (or a similar identifier) from the list to initiate pairing.
4. Once successfully paired, the blue indicator's blinking pattern may change or become solid.

6.2 Audio Playback

After successful Bluetooth pairing, you can play audio from your connected device. The module will output stereo sound through the connected speakers. Volume control is managed directly from your paired Bluetooth source device.

6.3 Automatic Reconnection and Shutdown

• The module is designed to automatically reconnect to the last paired device after being powered off and on again.
• To conserve power, the board will automatically shut down if it remains in standby mode for 10 minutes without an active Bluetooth connection.

7. Troubleshooting

• No Sound:
  • Check all power supply connections and ensure the module is powered on.
  • Verify speaker connections and ensure correct polarity.
  • Confirm that Bluetooth pairing is successful and audio is actively playing on the source device.
  • Ensure speaker impedance (2-8 ohm) and wattage (3-10W) are compatible with the module.
• Poor Sound Quality / Noise:
  • Ensure a stable 3.7V lithium battery (with protection) or a clean 5V DC power supply is used. Unstable power sources can introduce noise.
  • Keep the module away from metal objects or strong electromagnetic interference sources.
  • Check for any loose connections or damaged wires.
• Cannot Pair Bluetooth:
  • Ensure the module is powered on and within the approximate 15-meter transmission range of your source device.
  • Turn off and then on Bluetooth on your source device, then try searching for devices again.
  • If previously paired, try 'forgetting' or 'unpairing' the device on your source device and then re-pairing.
• Module Shuts Down Unexpectedly:
  • This is normal behavior if the module is in standby mode for 10 minutes without an active Bluetooth connection. Reconnect your Bluetooth device to reactivate it.
  • If it shuts down during active use, check the stability and voltage of your power supply.
