This manual provides detailed instructions on how to set up, operate, and maintain your gamepad to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

2. Product Overview

The Ipega PG-9078 features a classic gamepad layout with dual analog sticks, a D-pad, action buttons (A, B, X, Y), shoulder buttons (L1, R1), and trigger buttons (L2, R2). It also includes a retractable phone holder for mobile gaming.

3. Setup

3.1. Charging the Gamepad

Before first use, ensure the gamepad is fully charged. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the micro-USB port on the gamepad and the other end to a USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter). The LED indicator will show charging status and turn off or change color when fully charged.

3.2. Bluetooth Pairing

The PG-9078 supports different pairing modes for various devices. Follow the instructions below for your specific platform:

3.2.1. Android Device Pairing

1. Ensure the gamepad is powered off.
2. Press and hold the HOME button and the A button simultaneously for 3 seconds until the LED indicator flashes rapidly. This puts the gamepad into Android pairing mode.
3. On your Android device, go to Settings > Bluetooth.
4. Turn on Bluetooth and scan for available devices.
5. Select "PG-9078" from the list of available devices.
6. Once paired, the LED indicator on the gamepad will become solid.

3.2.2. PC (Windows) Pairing

1. Ensure the gamepad is powered off.
2. Press and hold the HOME button and the X button simultaneously for 3 seconds until the LED indicator flashes rapidly. This puts the gamepad into PC pairing mode.
3. On your Windows PC, go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
4. Click "Add Bluetooth or other device" and select "Bluetooth".
5. Select "PG-9078" from the list of available devices.
6. Once paired, the LED indicator on the gamepad will become solid.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Power On/Off

• Power On: Press the HOME button briefly. The gamepad will attempt to connect to the last paired device.
• Power Off: Press and hold the HOME button for 5 seconds until the LED indicator turns off. The gamepad will also automatically power off after a period of inactivity.

4.2. Game Play

Once connected, the gamepad functions as a standard controller. Most Android games and PC games with controller support will automatically recognize the PG-9078. For some games, you may need to configure the button mappings within the game's settings.

4.3. Retractable Phone Holder

The integrated phone holder can accommodate most smartphones. Gently pull the top part of the holder upwards to extend it, place your phone securely, and then release to clamp it in place. Ensure your phone is centered for balance.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Cleaning

Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surface of the gamepad. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, but ensure no moisture enters the device. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

5.2. Storage

Store the gamepad in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Avoid placing heavy objects on top of the gamepad to prevent damage to the buttons or joysticks. If storing for an extended period, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) to prolong its lifespan.

5.3. Battery Care

• Gamepad does not power on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the gamepad to a power source and try again.
• Gamepad does not connect via Bluetooth:
  • Ensure the gamepad is in the correct pairing mode for your device (Android or PC).
  • Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your device.
  • Delete any previous pairings of "PG-9078" from your device's Bluetooth list and attempt to pair again.
  • Restart both the gamepad and your device.
• Buttons are unresponsive or laggy:
  • Ensure the gamepad is fully charged. Low battery can affect performance.
  • Move closer to your device to reduce potential interference.
  • Check in-game settings for controller configuration.
• Phone holder is loose: Ensure the phone is properly seated and centered in the holder. Avoid excessive force when inserting or removing the phone.
