Setup: Setting Your Combination
Your ANVIL TSA Approved Luggage Lock comes with a default combination of 0-0-0-0. Follow these steps to set your personalized combination:
- Ensure the lock is set to the default code 0-0-0-0 and the shackle is open. The default code is located on the side of the lock.
- Lift the silver shackle, rotate it 90 degrees clockwise (from position A to B in the figure), press down firmly, then rotate another 90 degrees (total 180 degrees). The shackle should remain pressed down.
- While holding the shackle down, set your new code by moving the dials to your desired 4-digit combination. For example, 1-2-3-4.
- Turn the shackle back to its original closed position. Your new combination has now been set.
To change your combination again, repeat these steps, starting with your current set combination.

If you have forgotten your combination, unfortunately, there is no master reset button other than knowing the combination. - Dials are stiff or hard to turn: This can be caused by dirt or dust accumulation. Clean the dials with a soft cloth. If the issue persists, apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant or graphite powder to the moving parts of the dials.
- Shackle does not close properly: Check for any obstructions around the shackle opening. Ensure the shackle is fully inserted and the dials are scrambled after closing to secure the lock.
