1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the deleyCON Mechanical Timer Switch, designed to automate the on/off cycles of various indoor electrical devices. Please read this manual carefully before using the product to ensure safe and efficient operation.

2. Safety Instructions

  • This timer is designed for indoor use only. Do not expose it to moisture or outdoor conditions.
  • Ensure the connected device's power consumption does not exceed the timer's maximum load of 3500 W (16 A).
  • Always disconnect the timer from the power outlet before cleaning or if it is not in use for an extended period.
  • Do not connect multiple timers in series.
  • The product features increased touch protection for safety.
  • If the timer makes an audible mechanical clicking sound, this is normal operation for the switching segments.

3. Product Overview

The deleyCON Mechanical Timer Switch features a robust design for reliable operation. Key components include the 24-hour dial with 15-minute segments and a manual override switch.

4. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to configure your deleyCON Mechanical Timer Switch:

  1. Prepare the Timer Segments: The timer's central dial is surrounded by small pins, each representing a 15-minute interval. When new, all pins are typically pushed down (ON). To set a program, first pull all pins upwards (OFF position) around the entire 24-hour dial.
  2. Set the ON/OFF Periods: Push down the pins corresponding to the time periods you want the connected device to be ON. Each pushed-down pin activates the power for 15 minutes. For example, to have power from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM, push down all pins between the '7' and '14' marks on the dial. If you need power for only one hour (e.g., 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM), push down the four pins within that hour segment.
  3. Set the Current Time: Rotate the entire dial clockwise until the small arrow (usually located in the inner circle, pointing towards the numbers 1-24) aligns with the current time. Be precise, as this arrow can be small and blend with the background.
  4. Connect to Power: Plug the timer into a standard indoor wall socket.
  5. Connect Device: Plug the device you wish to control into the timer's socket.

5. Operating Instructions

The deleyCON Mechanical Timer Switch offers both programmed and manual operation modes.

5.1 Manual Override Switch

On the right side of the timer, there is a sliding switch with three positions:

  • 'I' (ON): When the switch is in the 'I' (upwards) position, the connected device will receive continuous power, regardless of the dial's programmed settings. This is for constant ON operation.
  • Timer Symbol (Middle): When the switch is in the middle position (indicated by a clock or timer symbol), the timer will operate according to the ON/OFF periods you have set on the dial.
  • 'O' (OFF): When the switch is in the 'O' (downwards) position, the connected device will remain OFF, regardless of the dial's programmed settings. This is for constant OFF operation.

Always ensure the switch is in the Timer Symbol position for automatic operation.

6. Maintenance

  • To clean the timer, unplug it from the wall socket. Use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or immerse the timer in water.
  • Regularly check the timer and its connected cables for any signs of damage. If damage is found, discontinue use and replace the unit.
  • Store the timer in a dry, cool place when not in use.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Timer is not switching ON/OFF:
    • Check if the manual override switch is in the 'Timer Symbol' position.
    • Verify that the pins for the desired ON period are pushed down.
    • Ensure the current time is correctly set on the dial.
    • Check if the wall socket is receiving power.
  • Timer is making a clicking sound: This is normal for mechanical timers as the internal mechanism operates the switching segments. It does not indicate a fault.
  • Connected device is not receiving power:
    • Ensure the device itself is switched ON.
    • Test the device by plugging it directly into a wall socket to confirm it is functional.
