5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Harness Mode (For Toddlers)
Use the 5-point harness for children weighing between 25-65 lbs (11-29 kg) and up to 49 inches (124 cm) tall.
- Adjust Headrest: Squeeze the orange handle at the top of the headrest and slide it up or down until the shoulder straps are at or just above your child's shoulders.
- Place Child: Seat your child in the car seat with their back flat against the seat back.
- Buckle Harness: Bring the two buckle tongues together and insert them into the crotch buckle until you hear a click.
- Tighten Harness: Pull the harness adjustment strap at the front of the seat until the harness is snug against your child's body. Ensure you cannot pinch any excess webbing at the child's collarbone.
- Secure Chest Clip: Position the chest clip at armpit level.

5.2 Booster Mode (For Older Children)
Use the belt-positioning booster for children weighing between 40-100 lbs (18-45 kg) and between 38-57 inches (97-145 cm) tall.
- Convert to Booster: Follow the instructions in your full product manual to remove the 5-point harness straps and store them in the designated compartments.
- Adjust Headrest: Raise the headrest so the vehicle shoulder belt rests correctly across your child's shoulder, between their neck and arm.
- Position Child: Seat your child in the booster seat.
- Route Vehicle Belt: Guide the vehicle's lap belt under the armrests and into the red lap belt guides. Route the shoulder belt through the red shoulder belt guide on the headrest.
- Buckle and Adjust: Buckle the vehicle seat belt and ensure it lies flat across your child's upper thighs and shoulder.

6. Care and Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will help prolong the life of your car seat.
- Fabric Covers: The fabric covers can be removed for cleaning. Refer to the care label on the fabric for specific washing instructions (typically machine wash cold, delicate cycle, and hang to dry).
- Harness Straps: Wipe harness straps with a damp cloth. Do not machine wash or submerge harness straps in water, as this can weaken the webbing.
- Plastic and Metal Parts: Wipe plastic and metal parts with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- CupFolders: The CupFolders are dishwasher-safe for easy cleaning.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your car seat, refer to the following common solutions:
- Difficulty Tightening Harness/Belt: Ensure there are no twists in the webbing and that the harness/belt path is clear of obstructions. Re-read installation instructions carefully.
- Car Seat Feels Loose: Re-install the car seat, ensuring the LATCH connectors or vehicle seat belt are pulled as tightly as possible. Check the RideRight bubble levels. The car seat should not move more than 1 inch side-to-side or front-to-back at the belt path.
- Headrest Adjustment Issues: Ensure the orange handle is fully squeezed when attempting to adjust the headrest height. Check for any debris obstructing the mechanism.
