1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your TIGERSECU Super HD 1080P 16 Channel DVR Security Recorder. 3. Setup

3.1 Physical Connections

Connect your cameras, network cable, and power supply to the DVR. Ensure all connections are secure.

3.2 Remote Access Setup via Mobile App

To view your DVR remotely from your phone or iPad, download the TIGERSECU HD Viewer app. The app supports live view, playback, backup, and PTZ control.

For optimal performance, a 1 Mbps upload speed is recommended for each 1080P camera. Bitrate settings can be adjusted in the DVR to accommodate slower network speeds. The mobile app requires iOS 9.3 or later and Android 9 or later.

4. Operation

4.1 Live View and Playback

The DVR supports 16-channel live screen viewing and up to 32x playback speed. You can connect the DVR to a TV or computer monitor with a minimum 1080p resolution via HD-port, VGA, or CVBS ports.

4.2 Audio Recording

The DVR features 4 audio inputs for audio recording on channels 1 to 4, in addition to 16 channels of video recording.

5. Compatibility

This DVR is designed for broad compatibility but has specific requirements:

6. Storage & Recording

The DVR comes pre-installed with a 2TB surveillance hard disk drive, providing over 5 days of continuous local recording at the highest resolution. You have the option to replace or add internal hard drives, supporting up to two hard disk drives of 16TB each.

Motion detection options allow you to record only when motion is detected, saving hard drive space. High-efficiency video compression further optimizes storage by enabling more footage to be recorded for the same storage capacity.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Firmware Updates

Keeping your DVR's firmware updated ensures optimal performance and access to the latest features and security enhancements. Follow the instructions in the video below to update your system's firmware.

The DVR features unique heat sink fan technology for self-cooling, preventing overheating and ensuring a quieter system without fan noise.

8. Troubleshooting

8.1 Camera Not Showing Up on DVR

If your camera is not displaying on the DVR, and it is confirmed to be compatible, the most common cause is insufficient power supply to the camera. To check this, make the room as dark as possible to trigger the infrared night vision. If you see a red glow on the camera's lens, the night vision is working. If not, changing to the correct power supply will usually resolve the issue.
