3. Setup
3.1 Hard Drive Installation
This DVR model does not include a pre-installed hard disk drive. For continuous local recording, you must install up to two surveillance hard drives, each with a maximum capacity of 16TB. Compatible drives include WD Purple, Toshiba, and Seagate surveillance hard drives. External hard drives are not supported.

3.2 Initial Connections
Connect your cameras, power supply, and a monitor to the DVR. Ensure all connections are secure before powering on the device.

3.3 Network Configuration & Remote Access
To enable remote viewing and control, connect your DVR to your network. Download the free TIGERSECU HD Viewer app for iOS or Android devices. The app allows you to remotely access and play surveillance footage without monthly fees. A minimum 1 Mbps upload speed is recommended for each 1080P camera for optimal performance.

4. Operation
4.1 Live View and Playback
The DVR supports 16-channel live screen viewing and up to 32x playback speed. Connect a monitor to the DVR via HD-port, VGA, or CVBS ports. Ensure your monitor has a minimum 1080p resolution for optimal display.

4.2 Recording Settings
The DVR utilizes high-efficiency video compression (H.265) to maximize storage space. It supports 4 audio inputs for audio recording on channels 1 to 4, in addition to 16 channels of video recording. You can configure recording schedules and event-triggered recordings.

4.3 Motion Detection
Configure customizable motion detection areas to trigger recordings and alerts. The system allows you to specify exact areas within the camera's view for motion detection.

4.4 Camera Compatibility
The DVR is designed for use with 2MP/5MP HD TVI, AHD, CVI, RS485 PTZ, analog, and IP cameras. For optimal performance, use with TIGERSECU security cameras. The rear panel provides various input ports for different camera types.
