Logitech G Blue Radius III Custom Shockmount Instruction Manual

Model: 989-000539

Introduction

The Logitech G Blue Radius III Custom Shockmount is a suspension mount designed to isolate Yeti and Yeti Pro USB microphones from unwanted noise, shock, and ambient vibrations. This streamlined, lightweight design is optimized for various recording and streaming applications, ensuring cleaner audio capture. While custom-designed for Yeti microphones, it is also compatible with most microphones featuring a standard thread mount and standard microphone stands.

Product Overview

The Radius III shockmount features a durable construction with elastic bands that suspend the microphone, preventing physical vibrations from reaching the microphone capsule. Its design ensures stability and compatibility with standard microphone setups.

Setup Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Microphone: Ensure your Yeti or Yeti Pro USB microphone is ready for mounting. If it has an existing stand, remove it to expose the threaded mount at the base of the microphone.
  2. Attach Shockmount to Microphone: Carefully align the threaded screw on the Radius III shockmount with the threaded mount on your microphone. Rotate the microphone clockwise onto the shockmount until it is securely fastened. Do not overtighten.
  3. Attach Shockmount to Boom Arm/Stand: The Radius III shockmount is designed to attach to a standard microphone boom arm or stand. Align the shockmount's base with the threaded connection on your boom arm or stand. Rotate the shockmount clockwise until it is firmly attached. Adjust the angle and position as needed using the boom arm's adjustment points.

Operating Instructions

Once installed, the Radius III shockmount operates passively by suspending your microphone. Its primary function is to absorb and dissipate vibrations that would otherwise travel through your desk or microphone stand directly into the microphone. This isolation helps to eliminate low-frequency rumble and other handling noises, resulting in a cleaner and more professional audio recording or broadcast.

  • Ensure the microphone is centered and balanced within the shockmount for optimal vibration isolation.
  • Avoid placing the microphone setup on unstable surfaces that could introduce excessive vibrations beyond the shockmount's capacity.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Radius III shockmount, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the shockmount with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Elastic Bands: Periodically inspect the elastic suspension bands for any signs of wear, stretching, or damage. Over time, these bands may lose elasticity. Replacement bands can be obtained from authorized Logitech G retailers or support.
  • Connections: Ensure all threaded connections remain snug. If any part feels loose, gently tighten it by hand.
