1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Windhager TVH Telescopic Insect Screen Door. This manual provides detailed instructions for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your new insect screen. Designed for ease of installation and effective insect protection, this screen features four overlapping fiberglass panels and a telescopic design for adaptable fitting.

3. Product Components

The Windhager TVH Telescopic Insect Screen Door typically includes the following components:

• Four (4) overlapping fiberglass panels.
• Telescopic top rail for adjustable width.
• Bottom weight rails (81g each) for fiberglass panels.
• PVC clips for adhesive or screw mounting.

4. Setup and Installation

The Windhager TVH Telescopic Insect Screen Door is designed for drill-free and saw-free mounting, making it ideal for rented accommodation. It requires a minimum mounting depth of 17 mm.

4.1. Preparation

• Unpack all components and verify against the component list.
• Clean the door frame surface where the screen will be mounted. Ensure it is dry and free of dust or grease.
• Measure the width and height of your door frame opening to confirm compatibility. The screen is telescopic and adjustable.

4.2. Mounting Options

The screen can be mounted using either adhesive strips or screws, depending on your preference and the surface type.

4.2.1. Adhesive Mounting (Recommended for rented accommodation)

1. Attach the adhesive strips to the back of the PVC clips.
2. Position the PVC clips along the top of the door frame, ensuring they are evenly spaced and aligned.
3. Press firmly to secure the clips to the door frame. Allow the adhesive to set for the recommended time (refer to adhesive instructions if provided separately).
4. Carefully hang the telescopic top rail of the insect screen onto the installed PVC clips.

4.2.2. Screw Mounting

1. Position the PVC clips along the top of the door frame. Mark the screw holes.
2. Drill pilot holes if necessary, according to the screw size.
3. Secure the PVC clips to the door frame using the provided screws.
4. Carefully hang the telescopic top rail of the insect screen onto the installed PVC clips.

4.3. Adjusting Screen Length and Width

• The top rail is telescopic. Adjust its width by sliding the sections until it fits snugly within your door frame.
• The fiberglass panels can be cut to the desired length if your door height is less than 120 cm. Measure carefully before cutting.
• Once the panels are at the correct length, attach the pre-assembled weight rails to the bottom of each fiberglass panel. These weights ensure the screen hangs straight and closes effectively.

5. Operating Instructions

The Windhager TVH Telescopic Insect Screen Door is designed for simple, everyday use.

• To pass through the screen, simply push the overlapping fiberglass panels aside. The weight rails at the bottom will help the panels return to their original position after you pass.
• The overlapping design ensures continuous insect protection even when passing through.
• The screen can be easily pushed aside or worked in as needed.

6. Maintenance and Care

Regular cleaning and proper storage will extend the life of your insect screen.

6.1. Cleaning the Fabric

• The fiberglass fabric can be cleaned. It is recommended to clean it at +30 °C.
• Use a mild detergent and soft cloth or sponge. Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
• Rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow to air dry completely before re-installing or storing.

6.2. Seasonal Storage

According to the season, the screen can be easily removed and stored.

• To remove, simply unhook the telescopic top rail from the PVC clips.
• Clean the fabric as described above.
• Roll or fold the screen neatly and store it in a dry, clean place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
