Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and components.
  2. Clean: Before first use, wash the thermal carafe, carafe lid, filter basket, and permanent filter in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth.
  3. Initial Cycle: Fill the water reservoir to the MAX level with clean water. Place the empty filter basket with the permanent filter into the brew head. Place the thermal carafe with its lid on the warming plate. Run a full brewing cycle without coffee grounds to clean the internal components. Discard the water.
  4. Position: Place the coffee maker on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface, away from the edge of the counter.

Operating Instructions

Brewing Coffee

  1. Prepare Filter: Open the brew head cover and place the permanent filter into the filter basket.
  2. Add Coffee Grounds: Add the desired amount of ground coffee into the permanent filter. A general guideline is one level scoop (provided) per cup, adjusting to personal preference.
  3. Add Water: Open the water reservoir lid and fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water up to the desired number of cups, using the water level indicator. Do not exceed the MAX fill line.
  4. Position Carafe: Ensure the thermal carafe with its lid is correctly placed on the warming plate.
  5. Start Brewing: Plug the coffee maker into a power outlet. Press the "ON/OFF" button to begin the brewing cycle. The indicator light will illuminate.
  6. Serving: Once brewing is complete, the coffee maker will automatically shut off. Carefully remove the thermal carafe to pour. The no-drip spout prevents spills.

Setting the Programmable Timer

The 24-hour programmability allows you to set the coffee maker to start brewing at a specific time.

  1. Set Current Time: With the coffee maker plugged in, press the "HR" button to set the hour and the "MIN" button to set the minute for the current time. The display will show the set time.
  2. Set Program Time: Press the "PROG" button. The display will flash. Use the "HR" and "MIN" buttons to set the desired time for brewing to start.

  4. Storage: Ensure the coffee maker is clean and dry before storing. Store in a cool, dry place.
