4. Setup and Assembly
Assembly typically requires two people and takes approximately 40 minutes. No special tools are required beyond a screwdriver.
- Prepare the Base: Place the Base Panel (D) on a flat, level surface where the storage box will be located.
- Attach Side Panels: Connect the Side Panels (A) to the Base Panel (D) by aligning the grooves and pressing firmly until they click into place. Ensure the handle cutouts on the side panels are facing outwards.
- Install Front and Back Panels: Attach the Front Panel (B) and Back Panel (C) to the assembled side and base panels. Ensure all connections are secure.
- Secure the Structure: Use the provided fasteners (H) to reinforce the connections between all four wall panels and the base.
- Attach the Lid: Carefully align the Lid (E) with the top edges of the assembled box. Secure the lid using the hinge mechanisms and fasteners (H) as indicated in the diagram.
- Install Gas Struts: Attach the Gas Struts (F) to the designated points on the inside of the box and the underside of the lid. These struts assist in opening and holding the lid open. Ensure they are securely fastened.

- Install Locking Mechanism: Attach the Locking Mechanism (G) to the front of the lid and the front panel. This allows for securing the box with a padlock (not included).

5. Operating Instructions
The Keter Ontario 870L Storage Box is designed for easy and secure storage of various outdoor items.
- Opening the Lid: Lift the front edge of the lid. The gas struts will assist in smoothly raising the lid and holding it open.
- Closing the Lid: Gently pull the lid downwards. The gas struts will provide resistance for a controlled closure. Ensure no objects or body parts are in the way of the closing lid.
- Storage Capacity: The box offers a generous 870-litre capacity, suitable for garden tools, cushions, pool equipment, and other outdoor accessories.
