5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

To clean the scale, wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or chemical solvents, as these may damage the surface. Ensure the scale is dry before storage or next use.

5.2 Storage

Store the scale in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Avoid storing it in highly humid environments, such as a bathroom, as this can affect its electronic components and accuracy. Keep it on a flat surface to prevent damage.

5.3 Battery Replacement

When the low battery indicator appears on the scale's display, it's time to replace the batteries. Follow the instructions in Section 2.1 for proper battery replacement.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your FITINDEX Smart Scale, consider the following:

  • Inaccurate Readings: Ensure the scale is placed on a hard, flat surface. Avoid carpets, rugs, or uneven flooring. Make sure your feet are clean and dry, and positioned correctly on the electrode pads.
  • No Display/Power: Check if the batteries are correctly installed and not depleted. Replace them if necessary.
  • Bluetooth Connection Issues: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone and the FITINDEX App is open. Try restarting both the scale (by removing and reinserting batteries) and your phone. Re-attempt the pairing process.
  • App Data Sync Failure: Confirm the scale is paired via Bluetooth and the app is open during measurement. Check app permissions on your phone to ensure it has access to Bluetooth and storage.
