Setup

Before First Use

  • Unpack all components and remove any packaging materials.
  • Wash the percolator pot, lid, stem, and filter basket thoroughly with warm, soapy water. Rinse well and dry completely.
  • It is recommended to brew a batch of plain water through the percolator before its first use with coffee to ensure cleanliness and remove any manufacturing residues.

Assembly

  • Fill the percolator pot with cold water up to the desired capacity (4 to 12 cups). Do not overfill.
  • Place the percolator stem into the pot, ensuring the bottom of the stem is securely seated in the center well.
  • Place the filter basket onto the top of the percolator stem.
  • Add your desired amount of coarse-ground coffee into the filter basket. Do not pack the coffee.
  • Place the lid securely on the percolator pot, ensuring the glass knob is properly seated.

Operating Instructions

Brewing Coffee

  • After assembly, place the percolator on a stovetop burner over medium heat.
  • Monitor the glass knob on the lid. When water begins to perk (bubble up through the stem and shower over the grounds), reduce the heat to low.
  • Allow the coffee to perk for approximately 5-7 minutes for a medium-strength brew. Adjust brewing time to your preferred strength.
  • Once brewing is complete, carefully remove the percolator from the heat.
  • Allow the coffee to settle for a few minutes before serving to ensure all grounds have settled to the bottom of the filter basket.
  • Carefully remove the lid, stem, and filter basket before pouring.

  • For hand washing, use warm, soapy water and a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that could scratch the stainless steel finish.
  • Rinse all components thoroughly and dry immediately to prevent water spots.
