4.3 Electrical Connection
The unit operates on 220-240 V, 50/60 Hz. It features double insulation. A butterfly backdraft damper accessory is supplied as standard.
Important: All electrical wiring must be carried out by a qualified professional. Ensure the main power supply is disconnected before commencing any wiring work. Follow the wiring diagram provided in the product packaging for correct connection of phase, neutral, and switch wires.
4.4 Humidity Sensor and Timer Adjustment
The humidity sensor and timer settings are typically adjusted via potentiometers located under the front cover.
- Humidity Threshold: Adjustable between 50% and 95% relative humidity. The fan activates when humidity exceeds this level and deactivates when it falls below.
- Timer Delay: Adjustable between 1 and 25 minutes. This setting determines how long the fan continues to operate after the humidity level drops below the set threshold or after manual activation.
Carefully remove the front cover (no tools required) to access these controls. Adjust with a small screwdriver. Test settings to find the optimal performance for your environment.
5. Operation
Once installed and configured, the AERAULIQA QD100HTBB operates automatically based on its integrated humidity sensor and timer.
- Automatic Activation: The fan will automatically turn on when the relative humidity in the room rises above the set threshold (e.g., during a shower).
- Automatic Deactivation: After the humidity level drops below the set threshold, the fan will continue to run for the duration set by the timer, then switch off.
- Manual Override (if wired): If wired with an external switch (e.g., light switch), the fan may also activate when the switch is turned on, and then run for the timer duration after the switch is turned off. Refer to your specific wiring configuration.
The fan operates at a low noise level of 26 dB(A) and has a single speed.
6. Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your extractor fan.
- Frequency: Clean the fan grille and impeller periodically, depending on usage and environmental conditions.
- Disconnection: Always disconnect the power supply to the fan before cleaning or performing any maintenance.
- Front Cover Removal: The minimalist front cover can be easily removed without tools for cleaning. Gently pull it off.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the front cover and the visible parts of the impeller. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure all parts are dry before reattaching the cover and restoring power.
- Internal Components: Do not attempt to lubricate or disassemble internal motor components.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your AERAULIQA QD100HTBB, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Fan does not turn on. | No power supply. Incorrect wiring. Humidity level below threshold. | Check circuit breaker and power connection. Verify wiring by a qualified electrician. Increase humidity threshold setting. |
| Fan runs continuously. | Humidity threshold set too low. Timer set too long. Faulty humidity sensor. | Increase humidity threshold setting. Reduce timer duration. Contact customer support if sensor is suspected faulty. |
| Reduced airflow or unusual noise. | Blocked grille or impeller. Obstruction in ducting. Backdraft damper stuck. | Disconnect power and clean the front cover and impeller. Check ducting for obstructions. Inspect the butterfly backdraft damper for free movement. |
| Fan turns off too quickly. | Timer set too short. | Increase timer duration. |
If problems persist after attempting these solutions, please contact AERAULIQA customer support or your retailer.
